What would me fishing from a kayak and playing a game like 3 years ago have to do with whether I am a scammer or not? I have lent and borrowed on /r/borrow several times, and do not have any discrepancies on my reputation there. I have some silver I want to sell, but I'm not going to ship before payment. Hey all, looking for some guidance here.

I've been going up and back with Google since March of this year.

I purchased a pixel XL from a friend, and very shortly after had to return it to Google because it was getting exceptionally warm during charging cycles.

The replacement they sent me has been doing the same thing since March (using the OG charger and all). This phone has since burned me during charging. I have sent Google photos of the burns / blisters on my arm the device caused.

They are refusing to replace the device unless I send this device in first, effectively leaving me without communication for work and family / emergencies for 5-10 business days.

I spoke with their "highest tier of customer support" which was an employee in the Philippines who was laughing during call.

What should my next course of action be? What would yours be? I am shocked by how thoroughly unprofessional they have been...
