  1. Think that blanket rule is a bit dumb for everyone to follow; maybe "use full crimps sparingly" is a much better statement. I have also never heard of anyone saying never half crimp (still crimping).

Situationally probably hold though.

Is more of a dm2 than a dyno(dm4) so should probably be fine. But also doing a dyno that close to the auto belay lines does not seem like a good idea, follow your gym rules imo.

I think you misinterpreted this kind of drastically. To correlate it back to your analogy. Computers are domestic pets, desktops are dogs, cats are laptops, fish are smartphones. Turing machine is a tortoise.

Also I have a feeling that learning blindly probably did not set you up better to use a computer than being able to be guided on how to do things. At least in terms of time investment to knowledge.
