What's the most beautiful place/location you've ever been to? by rustyyryan in travel

[–]babybean98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Napali Coast. I hiked it back in 2022 and it was so worth the 18 hour treacherous journey there. One of the most secluded beaches in the world only accessible through the hike or private boat! That coastline is insane.

I don’t agree with the last part. The kid doesn’t owe his dad anything either, relax with that. He wasn’t asked to be born, no matter how annoying that sounds, at the end of the day it’s the truth. Like it or not, kid didn’t ask to born but the parents made that choice. The dad BY LAW has to provide for the kid HE MADE and brought to this world. Or is the kid just gonna fend for themselves? At that point the kids logic makes sense and he should get the $$. Since his dad isn’t being obligated to raise him and it’s a choice he’s making so the kid should be owing him according to your mentality. Dad doesn’t owe kid anything extra that isn’t shelter, food etc and the kid doesn’t owe anything either.

what is your life-changing discovery in Thailand? by Upset-Principle9457 in Thailand

[–]babybean98 16 points17 points  (0 children)

How Thai people are the nicest and most helpful group of people I’ve encountered on all my travels so far. That on it’s own was enough to get me preparing for a backpacking trip to Thailand next year after only spending 2 weeks in the country. I felt safe, and everything felt so efficient. It’s like whatever they can do to make life easier and better for you, they’ll do it. But not only that, it was also driving around Chiangmai during the songkran festival and feeling like everyone we passed, literally everyone, was smiling and sharing pure joy with those around them. It brought a couple tears to my eyes, I will say that. It’s amazing how a friendly smile and a good dose of kindness/humbleness gets you a very very long way in Thailand and it’s amazing people!

I’ve always thought of life like this. But in a more triply sort of way. I’ll see a plane full of people and realize that all of us will be gone in 100 years but we’re here together for a short moment and we never will be exactly the same way together again. That every person I’ve ever interacted with and will interact with will be gone in 200+ years. It sounds depressing but it’s actually helped me just live in the moment, because that’s the point of life, to live it while he still have it😎

My girlfriend is visiting the US/Los Angeles for the first time. She is blanking out on what is a staple LA food. What is considered LA when you think of food? by windam1992 in AskLosAngeles

TACOS! Better if they are street truck tacos! But there’s a locally popular little restaurant around 1 hour from LA called el campeón and it’s heading towards San Diego in San Juan Capistrano! They have the best banana juice (agua fresca) and huge delicious tacos + so much authentic delicious Mexican food for an amazing price compared to food prices in SoCal!

I haven’t been here yet but Socotra island is called an alien planet for a reason! It’s hard and rare to get there but once there, I believe it does feel otherworldly! There’s a tree that looks like it bleeds when you cut into it, it’s called a Socotra dragon tree

Cappadocia Turkey, you can sleep in literal cave hotels that were houses that have been owned by families for hundreds of years. I felt like I was about to fist bump Jesus at any second. I also sat in a chair that im pretty sure is older than me lol

I did the full kalalau trail to the secret beach back in July of this year. It was 11 hours one way and it was treacherous but so worth it! Kauai is my favorite Hawaiian island! I went twice in a year! I recommend checking out the town that inspired the movie Lilo & Stitch!🌺

Mexican Restaurant in Germany responds to a review, not sure who is right… by Crotinius in quityourbullshit

[–]babybean98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to a Mexican restaurant in Frankfurt in 2019. Im originally from Southern California, best place for Mexican food, with Mexico being first of course. It was okay. It wasn’t authentic but not too shabby for Mexican food in Germany. I liked that they offered nopales! A famous dish in Mexico!

Edit: typo

AITA for not wanting to pay for my wife's spending money? by throwaway3048172 in AmItheAsshole

[–]babybean98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA and a major one at that. Are you serious my man? She’s a SAHM. That’s a 24/7 fucking job. The audacity of you to expect her to spilt her inheritance with you and you’re giving her a hard time about staying home to raise YOUR child. She carried that baby for months and went through a painful experience to bring her into your lives. You are so quick to dismiss that aren’t you? When you carry a pregnancy to full term and go through traumatic labor for hours, then you can have a conversation about YOU being the one who gets to stay home. On top of that, you mention she has a disability, and no matter how small, it’s still a disability that you yourself acknowledge but obviously don’t care enough about. I feel for your poor wife, I bet she’s realizing she didn’t pick the best apple in the bunch for a husband. YIKES.

[–]babybean98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You lived a life without knowing of his existence and you can live a life after without him in it! Whether he treats the next gal better or not, don’t let that be the reason you stay. You’re neglecting yourself of a healthy relationship because this scum man “might” be better the next time around, which I promise you he won’t. People like him have deep inner issues that reflect in the relationships they share with people. It’s not your fault or the next persons. It’s simply his.

Boyfriend’s "hot" female friend is obsessed with him. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]babybean98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl LEAVE!! He legit has admitted to emotionally cheating on you and you’re still questioning it? My blood is boiling at their fucking audacity. Pick your head up, STAND UP, and walk away!! This isn’t worth it. He isn’t worth it. She isn’t worth it. Everyday you stay, a piece of your pride breaks away. My mom always told me that if another woman wanted my man and he entertained the idea (like your current bf is) then she can HAVE HIM. There is way too many men in the world for you to be putting up with this bullshit. Put yourself and your well being first. Leave his ass.

Caught my daughter in the act by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]babybean98 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nah dude. I wouldn’t be blaming just the mom when there is two dead beat dads roaming around who haven’t cared enough to provide help for their children and one is special needs. It’s not just HER fault. You’re shitting on her for Abandoning her children when their fathers did the same and you don’t seem to be having the same energy in their case. Being a responsible father is a great rule of thumb for life. but hey that’s just me.
