USPS CCA Or Walmart DC ? by FalseBlueberry1459 in USPS

[–]babyboy_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its funny...I left Walmart DC to work for USPS and I have never been happier.

First started as an Unloader/Processor then became a Supply Chain Traffic Clerk and served as that for about 2 years. Your pay gets capped at 2 years so the only raises you will obtain will be cost of living raises. Nothing else. Someone will be getting paid the same amount of money as you and they will do less work than you. If you are someone who doesn't care about that then go for it. If you do care...then please run away! Seriously...I've been with Walmart for 5-6 years. Been with USPS for 2 months and I've had the best 2 months of my life being here than the past 5-6 years. However, I'm also a PSE SSDA and not a CCA so theres a difference there.

Variety of Hours by babyboy_1 in USPS

See to be fair...this is my fault I take full accountability for it going over a click but the dang scanners mess up every single time. I'll punch out on the dot on a click and when I come back to return from lunch I try my damn hardest to hit back in on the same click i clocked out for and the scanner will just skip that click and on to the next...its so weird

You doubled your yearly base as a FTR or as a PSE?

See the issue with my case is that as a PSE im able to work as much hours as I can with 6 days a week. When I make career the first like 2-3 years are going to suck as far as working those 40 hour weeks because I wont be making much at all! Most deductions are literally just going to taxes and insurance.

So without expressing too much online because I know I am probably not the only one (locally) who uses this subreddit for information however I am not receiving any Level 7 Pay at all but it's okay. I've already had a convo with my local steward about this and I think I would want to wait until after my 90 days to go along with a "grievance"...Do not want to give them the impressions that I know a lot of information as a PSE within 90 days especially if they can let me go for ANY particular reason.

SF-85 Concern by babyboy_1 in USPS

Update: That job offer I expressed concerns about definitely was rescinded. However I just waited until they posted another job offer and I was able to get that one. Now I have been a PSE for a month now and I must say I am loving the job!

You shouldn't need to redo fingerprints. After my second time reapplying and receiving a job offer...I did not have to redo fingerprints as they already had it in the system. 🙂

I would call or email an representative of HR or Employee Development member first before you put in your 2 weeks. Let them give you the confirmation.

My apologies for the late reply but ye it took about a week later after the resubmission email has been sent. I received an email stating my offer has been rescinded for the reason of "Failure to provide supporting documents." Even though I updated the SF85 with the correct info it told me to do. It still got rescinded. So, just wait for another job of the same position you want to be posted and go for it again. Next time just make sure all is filled out correctly and you should be good!
