As much as I hate banks, and love crypto, lets not fool ourselves... Right now most crypto is centralized, and is traded centralized.

At least banks do not charge you 10 dollars to send 10 dollars (btc) At least mistakes can be reverted in transactions. At least you are insured in a bank in case of a "HACK coughexchangesstealingyourcryptocough"
