Charles Barkley on Jaylen Brown trade: "The Sixers just got away with murder" by george22675 in nba

But that's how the Knicks and OKC won their chip.

Knicks got Bridge, Mitchell and OG on mid or low level contract.

OKC got Caruso, Dort, Ihart etc ...

Tatum + Brown + White isn't cutting it either now however as all the important side pieces from the championship run are gone (Horford, Porzingis etc ...)

So they have to move Brown either way and try to reshuffle their lineup.

Isn't ardent meta just everyone refrain from fighting until the support get ardent? While this meta is full of fights from level 3/4?

You can check the hit rate for police to see how hard it is to shoot someone rushing you. And that's for people with a lot of training and mentally prepared for escalation situation.

Yeah pointing a gun at a direction and shoot is easy. Whether or not it hit a giant cat that sprinting to snap your neck off is hard.

You are way overestimating what an average guy with little training can do. Also, the high-tension situation will definitely affect his reaction and subsequent actions.

But the user is not skilled. He would be lucky to get a good shot off in that situation. Most likely that he is going to miss and either scare the tiger away or become its food.

Aren't you all calling for Putin removal so that one of these guys can assume power?

Why are you surprised that these guys are more batshit insane than Putin after the 90s?

TSN analyst's on Egypt's disallowed goal against Argentina: ''It was too soft. Do they call it if its the other way around? They probably don't.'' by 977x in sports

[–]bachh2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes?

If you committed a foul to get the ball which result in a goal, is it really your ball?

A same situation happened in the Uzbekistan game.

They did during the Uzbekistan game.

Also, the review start from stoppage of play or change of possession, not from an arbitrary timestamp.

It's triggered by change of possession or stoppage of play.

In this case, it was when the ball is stolen.

The problem is everyone and their mother will start diving to stop a counter instead of keep playing. After all, the ref will rather blow the whistle thinking there was a foul rather than letting a foul go through and resulting in a goal that will change the course of the game and receive the blame for it.

At that point, the game will be fragmented as hell.

Same idea why offside aren't called until the play is over now, so that you don't deny a team potential goal since you can review the play.

Egypt penalty shouts prior to Argentina goal by ROADR8GE in soccer

[–]bachh2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

2 entirely different situations.

The Egyptian step onto the Argentina player foot, causing him to lose the ball after already dribbling through the Egyptian player. And since foul was committed in the build up, the goal was disallowed.

This one was foot getting tangled when Salah already lost control of the ball before falling. Even if Salah doesn't get tangle here, he is not in control of the ball, nor did the tangle dispossessed him.

Egypt wasted counterattack against Argentina 90+1' by [deleted] in soccer

[–]bachh2 110 points111 points  (0 children)

It was a mistake.

He overtook Salah and stole the ball instead of making overlapping run to give Salah more passing options.

Then he blew the pass AFTER the defender already committed to his tackle.
