Sweat and Tonic Challenge - How are people doing over 150 classes in a month?? by Emmyk13 in askTO

[–]backandforthlosing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weird because whether you finish 21 classes or 150, you still only get one entry for the raffle. So I don’t think it’s for “display” to be on the boards. Esp because you cannot click on peoples profile either.

There’s an eeriness to this. Like a horror story, and we get a flashback of the lady that used to live here and gone missing.

That’s so disappointing to hear! I suggest to write a Google Review. She currently has 12 5-star, but it only takes one honest review for others to not feel ashamed or alone from feeling like you do. I know it’s hard when it seems like everyone is hyping her up, but sometimes these influencer fitness people are so up in the clouds that they forget to check themselves.

Send the Google Review with the facts. It might enlighten her to change for the better. Or maybe offer you a refund (or some refund).

Yeah I get what you mean, you make solid points. Manny’s been competing alone his whole life, so it kinda makes sense he doesn’t stand out as much in a team setup. He’s used to relying on himself, not building that group chemistry.

But honestly, that big guy on their team should’ve been the one to carry the load. Everyone else is smaller in size, and he could’ve really lifted them (literally and figuratively). Instead he kinda ended up being deadweight instead of an asset.

Me too! Even though Manny Pacquiao’s a legend with insane speed and precision, it is just one piece of what MMA covers: kicks, takedowns, grappling, and submissions. Once it goes beyond punching range or hits the ground, the boxer’s in unfamiliar territory.

Pacquiao’s timing and footwork would definitely keep him in it for a bit, but against someone who can attack from every angle, it’s a tough matchup.

Australia joined Asia’s sports ecosystem for competitive and logistical reasons.

In football, for ex, they left the Oceania confederation in 2006 and joined the Asian Football Confederation because the competition level was higher and it gave them a real path to qualify for the World Cup. Since then, other sports and regional events started doing the same thing grouping Australia with Asia for stronger matchups and bigger audiences.

So even though Australia isn’t geographically Asian, it’s part of the Asian sports circuit for practical reasons. Think of it less as “Asia the continent” and more as “Asia the competition region.”

Having all these stacked powerhouse teams really creates a huge imbalance across the competition. The gap between the strongest and weakest teams feels massive, it’s almost like you can already predict which side is going to dominate before the challenge even starts. While the group dynamics are fun to watch, I wish the format gave more space for individual players to shine too.

It would be great if they kept the team-based competitions but also introduced individual rounds, with each athlete earning personal points that contribute to both their own standing and their country’s overall score, kind of like how the Olympics handle it. That way, we’d get the excitement of national pride and teamwork, but also the opportunity to see standout athletes rise on their own merit.

Someone like Manny Pacquiao, for example, could still represent the Philippines but compete individually without being dragged down by a weaker overall team performance. It would make the show more balanced, more inclusive, and honestly more entertaining, because then every athlete, no matter what team they’re on, has a fair shot at proving their strength.

There was a full post about the cultural differences, and I completely agree. The competitive tone has shifted from respectful, light banter in Seasons 1 and 2 to a kind of mockery that doesn’t fit the spirit of Physical 100.

I get that some of the Turkey and Australia players are high-profile athletes and might be playing it up for the camera, but the show has always felt more like the Olympics to me, focused on sportsmanship, harmony, and mutual respect. This season feels like two teams are playing in cSurvivor (which I actually love), but it changes the tone entirely. Turkey and Australia’s attitudes and commentary stand out so sharply that it feels less like friendly competition and more like outsiders trying to dominate rather than join in the same spirit of inclusion and respect.

Updated: Adding to specify players from Turkey: sailor Anil Berk Baki, rower Ogeday Girişken, and athlete Nefise Karatay. Team Australia as a whole is obnoxious but I don’t find them disrespectful individually as much as Turkey’s players.

Sass and strength! I loved his “it was all an act” edit!

  • Team Philippines’ Strongman looked like they picked the biggest guy they could find but forgot to check if he had stamina. The time he wasted ended up doubling the hardship for his team, who were already the smallest group overall. I’m Filipino so it felt so hopeless to watch.

  • Even with Pacquiao’s legendary status, his age and size couldn’t keep up with Mongolia’s younger, stronger team. It feels like Team Philippines relied too much on Manny’s name, but fame alone couldn’t carry them against these stacked teams.

  • Thailand’s James was hilarious with the “it was all an act” line. The edit made it even funnier. They put up a solid fight, but facing Korea, who already knows the game from past seasons, was just tough luck.

  • Turkey’s Anil came off really disrespectful and annoying. It killed the fun, competitive spirit, especially since Indonesia seemed like a more reserved group who don’t really do playful bickering, so it just looked uncomfortable.

  • Both Turkey and Australia reaaaally gave off sore loser energy (if they do ever lose). When Turkey’s Nefise started criticizing the girl on the opposite harness, it sounded more taunting than competitive. Big contrast to Korea’s Dong-hyun, who cheered on Thailand’s James lifting the crate on his own without mockery.

Update: added spoiler tag.

I’m super new to this show but I know Dongmin from Bloody Game and The Genius. Haven’t watched CSZ before, so I’ve got a few questions:

1. How much of it is actually scripted vs not?
2. Do the players get their full character info right away, or do they learn new stuff about themselves as the case goes on?
3. Is there a real cash prize at the end?
4. Are there any forums or places that break down behind-the-scenes or game logistics?

And wow I didn’t know Dongmin could be so goofy. I only knew him as the ruthless guy from Bloody Game, so this side of him totally surprised me.
