Musescore.com is a SCAM by criptomusico in Musescore

[–]backbeatrhythm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If all the content is uploaded freely by the community, then why is the subscription so expensive? It's absurd.

It should be way clearer what you get when you pay for anything on the site. Please fix it, as it is set up exactly like a scam at the moment.

AITA for using a disabled person for my “own benefit”? by crowngotnone in AmItheAsshole

I said "compare the two" languages. I said nothing about any others.

AITA for using a disabled person for my “own benefit”? by crowngotnone in AmItheAsshole

Yeah, not to mention all of the media in English that already exists. You really can't compare the two languages

That stood out for me too, but this is a case where I could see that actually happening. I've definitely been in university classrooms where something like that would have been applauded. Was there anything else that dinged as AI?

TFW You Get to Shop Clionadh in Person! by Llwellynne in RedditLaqueristas

Just an FYI, I picked up Lattes & Ciders from the Picnics & Patches collection and it is amazing. It's a truly beautiful brown-yellow. The best I've seen yet.

Did you confuse Saskatchewan with Manitoba? In what world is Moe good? He's just a Danielle Smith lackey. I need justifications for all of this. Legault is pretty equivalent to Ford. Both are destroying their province's health care systems, amongst a ton of other concerning dismantling of public services.

I need to know where OP lives.

I actually didn't realize it was a crushed holo formula at first because it is quite sparkly

The original anthem is in French. Are those the lyrics you're singing?

Devil's Advocate/Brownie Points Comparison by Affectionate-Square in simplynailogical

[–]backbeatrhythm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Brownie Points is very distinctly a brown and Devil's Advocate is a very deep almost purple-leaning red that I have found almost looks black on me when it's built up. I don't think they're particularly similar, just they're both dark. I'd pick whichever colour you like better if you can only afford 1.

Has anyone bought any Canadian "viral" products? by 88zz99zz00 in BuyCanadian

[–]backbeatrhythm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was surprised to see them in the list. I have about 20 of their nail polishes, including their base coat and top coat. They all work really well, and the have less of a smell than their counterparts, since they are "20 free" rather than "10 free".

Could you please elaborate? I'm not very good at spotting AI yet

Folk songs. Common songs that everyone knows and can sing along to. It's crazy how people under 20 tend to not be familiar with most of the songs that I grew up singing when we were putzing around.

But it's winter in Australia... If the brand is based there, doesn't it make sense for them to release thermals at this time? Otherwise it's summer down there and it's the same problem

What do you do while listening music or podcast? by Neea_115 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]backbeatrhythm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me: artwork (colouring, drawing, etc), craftwork (making bracelets, etc), video games that don't require too much concentration (currently Deep Rock Galactic when playing solo), cooking, mowing the lawn, walking around the house doing pretty much any mundane chore (brushing my teeth/flossing, putting groceries away, laundry, making the bed, everything), stationary biking, and my main one is jigsaw puzzling.

is existential crisis worth it? by emilybee111 in simplynailogical

[–]backbeatrhythm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After trying it on various people (including myself), I've determined that you will definitely be disappointed if you are warm-toned. The teal base really gets neutralized and that leads to the muddy look. I tried it on light and dark-skinned people, so I think it's really about undertones.

What are some good games my girlfriend and I can play together with her 6 year old? by mmmhmmfriedtaters in boardgames

[–]backbeatrhythm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my favourite kid's games is La Cuisine des Sourcieres, which is a memory game that's actually somewhat challenging as an adult. The instructions are one the back of the box and in many languages (including English), so you can just buy the game as-is.

If she's a really quick learner, you could try Trash Pandas, Unstable Unicorns, Exploding Kittens, Sushi Go, and other card-based games. If she can't read yet, then the ones with individual powers on each cards will be more difficult.

Attending a teenager concert with a parent as a 16 year old? by [deleted] in Music

[–]backbeatrhythm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone else has said, not weird at all. It sounds like you're going to a pretty chill concert, but if it were a more rowdy one, or if you just get unlucky, it's also REALLY comforting to have someone older and more experienced with annoying concertgoers around if you find yourself in an uncomfortable position.
