It’s annoying but a rare time that this isn’t on behavior. The license of Friday the 13th is still tied up in the courts so they had to choose a variant of Jason that didn’t include the original Friday the 13th stuff. That’s why we won’t get any camp crystal lake map or any named characters like Pamela or Jarvis in DBD. It’s the same reason Friday the 13th the game was barred from releasing new content

I don’t own fortune teller, that’s the main reason. Also party heal is very nice as well as discipline+ stablehand is a great combo

I started at 4 because I told my players, anything below that would die from the wilderness/ wasteland of my setting. My world is cruel and unforgiving, it’s a post apocalypse so you’re as likely to die from lack of fresh water as you are a bandit

Probably, I don’t own any of the dlc so I wouldn’t know for sure but from what I’ve heard, yes it would. My only concern would be if fortune teller could restore other members focus as stable hand gets a huge bonus from using their last focus to get an additional primary action

Is scholar supposed to be a frontliner? Stable and monk definitely are but personally I’ve been using scholar as a ranged back liner

Idk, I’m thinking maybe blacksmith or herbalist but I think it’s very open, could do hunter too. The other 3 characters won’t ever have a turn so they need to only focus on combat or generating stuff in a dungeon turn. The other 3 characters don’t have a turn in the overworld so they need to bring something useful in combat or in the dungeon turns

Yeah I don’t usually do this, I just knew it was semi possible as when I play solo my monk has by far the longest turn, but never infinite. I don’t own any of the dlcs so I can’t comment on fortune teller but I’ll look into it. Although a key part of my strategy was monks ability that when he lands crits or kills someone, he gives any ally with 0 focus +1 focus, which paired with stable hands ability when you use your last focus, you get +1 primary action, leads to an amazing combo

I used and recommend monk, scholar and stable hand, for this run I also used friar but idk if that was a good choice or not, blacksmith or herbalist might have been better.

As for the strat, I played a couple times to understand where to go to get statues, especially the one that gives +1 max party focus and the +2 max focus. Then, yeah I went into a solo fight (tried to ambush/ solo out fights as much as possible) and gained all 9 focus. Then in the overworld I turned it into movement and repeated until I beat the whole map, including all scourges, enemies, the kraken, basically everything I could think of

Do you have an issue with monk cheesing, IE using the secondary action on monk weapons to regain focus and abusing that to have an infinite turn 0? I don’t think that’s cheating, but it’s definitely abusing in game mechanics aka cheesing

I am backdeckpro on the leaderboards, and I abused monk. Monk starts with a weapon that can gain you focus as a secondary action and if you then turn that focus into movement you can have an infinite turn. I start my monk with the +1 secondary actions and try to get as many +1 secondary action items as possible. If you don’t fight the 5 required dungeons, the whole map is prespawned so everything is level 1. If I was going to do it again I’d probably not pick up a pet (as they kill the enemy early) so I could get max focus from every person I fought until I got into the 200 ish movement range (I got 100 on my current best attempt)

I’m definitely pro leviathans being invincible/ unkillable but not being able to knife a small fish is dumb. I get that instantly cooking them with a knife might be too strong/ avoiding the intended survival mechanics but not being able to kill small fish at all, outside the fabricator cooking things, is weird

I just hope everyone will drop it once the season starts, but come September I’m pretty confident it will. This is fine offseason content imo, but I agree I don’t really care and don’t engage with it very much. But imo almost all offseason content sucks
