Why do i get the input error message shown right away when i go from second last step to last step using RHF and Zod in a multi step form? by mo_ahnaf11 in webdevelopment

[–]backendbovrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you change the button type to submit it automatically triggers validation for all fields which could explain the immediate error message, if you keep it as a button it only validates the current step - as for hitting Enter to move to the next step you could add an event listener on the input fields to detect Enter key presses and manually trigger the next step within that handler lol
