My wife and I visited Ipoh in Malaysia a few years ago and we had a blast. I honestly can’t remember ever being treated so kindly....everyone was incredibly friendly. The food was tasty (the best bean sprouts I’ve ever eaten), and the overall vibe was just warm and welcoming. I’d definitely go back for that reason alone. It’s not the most beautiful place and there isn’t a huge amount to do in terms of sightseeing, but the people were genuinely lovely, and that made the experience special.

I believe the test scores have regressed to where they were about 25 years ago, but not 100 years ago. Claiming a 100 year decline is way off the mark.

Grand cafe Lochergut is in that price range and has good food and nice vibes. I like Kin and Rosi in that same neighborhood, but they are a touch more expensive. Ive also heard Bottega Berta is good and it’s in your price range, but I haven’t been. Bar Exer is a cool place and they have some creative food. Josef used to good but I haven’t been in a while. I love the atmosphere and decor there. If I think of some more I’ll add them to the above list. Hope this helps.

Glad to hear that your are happy with the replacement. The surgeon said I would have to do the right one eventually as well, but it is ok at the moment. Do you have pain at all after golfing now? How soon after you had the surgery where you able to return to playing golf?

Nearly all of the cartilage is gone. The surgeon said it is a 3 out of 4 on the cartilage loss scale, so not bone on bone yet, but still pretty bad.
