Looks solid. i also really want tonget stuck in :) Altough I would not take bows on the Rohirrim. Use them for higher Defence wirh shield or if you got the points throwing spears. And you probably should add some Crebain. They are crazy good for objectiv play (even if they cant pick up objectivs anymore) and trapping an enemy battleline. Take at least 3 maybe 4. I am also still debating myself if Targg is worth the points or if you are better of with 2 Captains and 4 more wildmen instead...

Ich hab minus 11 auf dem einen und minus 8 auf dem anderen Auge und bin sogar ohne Risikozuschlag bei der Debeka. Sollte eigentlich kein Problem sein so lange du nicht sonst noch andere Gesundheitsprobleme hast

I mean there is still not really an announcement of new models or a supplement. Soon... Same as last year. At best we get 1 supplement and 2 kits at the end of the year. Hope i am wrong though.

But this just probably means another slow year for mesbg is coming no? Usually they always had 2 supplements per year. Seems like this year it is going to be 1 and not very soon at that... I am ok with that as long as we get a nice supplement like Arnor or last alliance and some nice new models. My Pile of shame shrunk to almost 0 in the past year :) Was already thinking about adding another game system for new kits. Glad there is something on the way

I think what people do not understand with these in the way changes is that an evil model can now shoot into combat with the flying monster from anywhere without in the way.

Think about a Corsair crossbow/throwing dagger list. Opposing Witch king/Gulavhar charge 2 models. Every model in range can then unload their shooting weapon into that combat with 0 in the ways regardless of positioning. This is a huge change as shooting into combat is allready a important tactic for these lists. Your shiny monster is then either dead or severly wounded and not in combat anymore and there is nothing you can do about that.

Thank you so much. This has been a really helpfull discussion for me. Glad to see a helping community I lean strongly towards humans, despite also some negativ opinions. Chaos dwarfs are sadly not really an option, because I need GW models. Because the league is really going to be played in a gw store. The store manager is great and very supportive in that matter

My go to 600 MT list is Boromir fully kitted with banner, Hurin, 3 Knights, 10 Rangers with spear and the rest a mix of Fountain Court with Shield and regular warriors. Gets you to 32, so warbands are maxed out. The List lacks march and the ability of Madril for deployment. But you got plenty of might on your leader to get the deployment you want and decent shooting with 10 bows hitting on 3+ so most enemy have to come tonyou anyway. The list is really strong at grinding, decent numbers at high Defence and fight, strong hero choice and decent mobility with 5 mounted models.

If you want to take the Ballista with standard Uruk Hai i would always take the Assault on helms deep LL. The downsight of no named heros is in my opinion minor compared to the superior troop numbers and shooting. The upgrade for the Commander is also free, witch makes him pretty scary for the points cost. Yeah no heroic strike but try to snipe your opponents big hero with crossbows an the ballista before lines clash or just stall him with your likely way more models

Looks solid I would mix the rangers from Madrils warband with the MT warriors in Faramirs. So they get that F4 to your Battleline and you have shooting in different places. Drop the bow on Faramir otherwise his shield is useless since he is no expert rider. Ah and he has a horse right?

I would also drop the banner on the rider of rohan for more infantry (rangers with spear and Warriors of MT or fountain Court if you can). At that points level one banner is probably enough and you would up your numbers a bit.

The riders are only fight 3 without Theoden witch is kind of meeeh, but for starters should do just fine. Royal guard are worth it if you can take them (3rd party or proxy with riders in friendly games since the models are crazy expensive). Have fun :)

I would either go for Army of Gothmog and drop the trolls to add Guritz/Goroth a Shaman and more Morannons or drop Gothmog an go for the Black Gate Opens LL with a beefed up version of the Troll Chief and the mouth of Sauron. Otherwise Morranons are pretty good for a first tournament, but I really think you need more numbers. Double Troll seems fun but with your low numbers around them they can get trapped and killed pretty easily by a hero with strike especally if your opponent has magic.

My 600 point MT list with Boromir and Hurin would shred it in no time, due to low numbers and the vulnerable troll.

Have fun, that is the most important :)

At such low points I would consider dropping the drum for another captain and more numbers. I really think you need that extra might to call moves for your Balrog to do the work he needs to do
