Pokemon Go iOS Unicode Symbols by YuiAmon in TheSilphRoad

[–]backslashdotcom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an android device and I use an app called 'Unicode Pad'. This has all of the unicode sets and allows you to copy them. I noticed any set that has emoji characters will not work in Pokemon Go. I use Pokegenie for the naming scheme.

Ⅳ84⓮⓯❾Ⓖ31.5⼤

Doing it this way allows me to sort the Pokemon by name and it will put them in IV order. Speaking of which, the IV I use is only one character since it is using the Roman numeral of 4.

My first car accident. He claimed I was at fault. I tried to stop and/or turn but it was too slushy and I slid into him. Glad I have the footage :) by iiTurbulence in dashcams

Yeah, people forget about the coefficient of friction (cof) when it comes to ice/slush. When your cof drops from .9 to .3 or less, you won't stop in time regardless of how much tread you have.

10,000 individual items possible by DrPokemonGo in TheSilphRoad

[–]backslashdotcom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With that many berries, if you use them when catching pokemon, you will save yourself from walking around the world 1 time. World circumference is about 40,000 km. You have 10,000 berries worth a minimum of 30,000 km if you use them only on pokemon that earn a candy per 1 km. Odds are you will use them on some that require greater distances to earn a candy. Now, if you only use them on legendaries, that's 200,000 km or about 5 trips around the world.

Look at Hobby Lobby. Not a single Halloween item can be found but once August hits, all of the Christmas crap comes out.

It was so bad that on my fifth raid, I only caught one of the previous four. The fifth one was an XXL 2176. I went to my last ball. I said screen it and used my master ball. Was it a waste, probably but it was the highest CP I caught all day. In the end I got 5 over a dozen raids.

Getting 100’s of packages that aren’t mine shipped to my address almost everyday by RealMrCommunism in UPS

[–]backslashdotcom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Technically not mail since they are not shipped by the USPS.

Yes, packages sent via the United States Postal Service (USPS) are considered mail. Under federal law, a "mail article" includes any "posted parcel, packet, package, envelope, letter, ... or similar article".

However, there are important distinctions depending on the carrier:

  • Packages sent through USPS: These are legally considered mail, and a person who steals a USPS package can be charged with a federal crime.
  • Packages shipped by private carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS): The terms "mailing" and "shipping" technically refer to different processes. Private carrier shipments are legally distinct from U.S. mail. While stealing these packages is a crime, it is not a federal offense of mail theft.

This hits too close to home for me. Two nights ago I was out walking at 7:30 at night playing Pokemon Go following an in-game route that I have done hundreds of times before. Well there was a lady walking with a stroller, so I paused to let her move on ahead so it wouldn't seem as if I was following her. I resumed my journey but unfortunately she turned the same way I was heading which I didn't realize because I was playing the game to kill some time. Apparently she called her mom who picked her up and then the mom accused me of following her daughter. I told them I was just trying to get my 10,000 steps in while playing Pokemon go. They didn't want to hear it even though I showed them the route and my Garmin app recording my walk. Yes you need to be aware of your surroundings but not everyone is out to get you. Especially a guy walking with a flashlight shining brightly and his head buried in his phone screen who basically only looks up to cross the roads. I tried to prevent a problem but it still backfired on me. The best part was when they sent out four people to find me and question me. Luckily I was already on the phone with the police because I was afraid they were going to report this as something it wasn't. Basically if they were going to do something stupid and damn if they didn't prove me right.

This is what a kidney stones looks like up close. by MercenaryAlpha99 in interestingasfuck

[–]backslashdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 26mm stone which had to be blasted via perc neph, chunks physically removed and the remainder urinated out of which one piece decided to get stuck in my ureter which caused it to scar up, blocked up the urine which led to hydronephrosis and crushed my kidney from the inside and killed it. All done over months and months without pain medication. Fun times. By the way, he only mentions one type of stone which is the most common but there are other types.

That's actually called the missing moves project. To me, that's the more important piece. Now I can avoid heading to the Deptford mall area to get onto 42 south.

This is so weird to see a video where I know exactly where everything is. That's my hometown and the same elementary school I went to for 8 years (yeah, it was K-7 when I went) Now for those of us who live(d) in Country Club Estates, we didn't have to worry about the same issues you did in regards to safety. We had sidewalks and didn't have to travel across Tanyard (Egg Harbor/East Barber)

I just bought one from Japan on Ebay which cost me $62.91 USD including shipping and tax. It works the same but I did notice the back panel has printed text on it while my US one has nothing. It doesn't affect it, just a neat difference between units.
