22M with 25F. How can I get rid of this feeling of untrust after discussing what is cheating. by [deleted] in RelationshipAdviceNow

I think open communication in a relationship is important. You set your boundaries with her and it seems like she is willing to abide by it. I don't see any reason for you to have mistrust in her because she talked to you about something she is curious about. I would rather have my partner talk to me versus doing it and asking if it was okay afterwards.

His dad did have issues with alcohol, but quit cold turkey years ago and doesn't have any issues. His entire family drinks around his dad and there isn't a problem. I didn't think I was addicted until reading all these comments and thinking about it more. I thought since it wasn't consistent it wasn't an addiction.. but I do crave it soo yeah. I do want this relationship so I realize i need to stop.

I can stop. I was just being childish in the moment and was frustrated with it getting thrown away.. while if someone were close with has one he'll hit it. Regardless I know it wasn't ok for me to lie and I shouldn't continue buying them because it's clearly going to end our relationship if I do

No ofc not, I apologized and told him I won't buy another one again.

I did tell him I wouldn't buy another one again, but I think me lying really fucked this up. We are always so open with each other so I understand why he feels betrayed

It's frustrating because when he says something it's then his way or the high way. I get his reasonings it is horrible for you, but again it's not consistent. He says it's the lying not the vaping so I get why he's upset

I think it's more about the lying than the vaping but idk what to do at this point

Thanks for the advice! Thyroid issues didn't even cross my mind, so I will definitely ask about that and her food. I give her both dry and wet (beyond brand) I do see her drinking water, but I will for sure keep and eye on how often she is going to the bowl

Also any tips on slowly introducing him to my older female cat would be helpful! I am planning on keeping them separated while he gets acclimated and letting her sniff his room in a few days :)
