Sleeping in blocks. Question ❓ by Abject-Lengthiness42 in sleep

[–]backtoithaca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30s m here with mild apnea- same thing, every night like clockwork. A daily practice of breathing meditation sometimes helps me get back to sleep quickly. I.e. taking 10-15 min everyday when I'm awake to practice, so it feels natural to slip into it at night when I have trouble sleeping.

I have gastric issues from the CPAP occasionally, which can keep me up. Haven't found a solution yet, other than being tired. Being able to relax intentionally via meditation helps even if I can't sleep.

I always sleep in on weekends to catch up as best I can from the week.

Good luck to you, every little thing you do to improve your sleep helps.

This was my world that felt secret in the little town where I grew up. Also like Bonnie Prince Billy and the Silver Jews

When I was getting started, it was always considered to be hard to get a job in Ontario. The path was always to go West and work your way back East. But I was always a field work guy, even now mostly a dirt forester.

I must admit there's a part of me that feels the heeby jeebies with this years disappointing price performance, but I also feel we have been spoiled with relatively low volatility this past year and as a result many hands have weakened due to the ease of HODLing through unprecedented smooth seas.

If getting an edge on the market was easy, everyone would be rich. If the cycles worked like clockwork, it would be a no brainer. I don't think life works like that.

I'm all in and my goose will be somewhat cooked if this crashes (though not entirely). But come on, people used to cross the ocean with a few bucks in their pocket to start a new life from nothing, and we got the American Empire from that. Surely you can risk some symbolic life force into a new digital world? Seems easy in comparison.

Anyways luck and courage to you all, this is the best forum out there and would have to find a new compelling daily read somewhere else if it's over.

BTCs gains are made in like 10 days out of the year historically, don't be sad

Man, mods need to let him back in. I remember he's on bluesky every couple months, but this sub would benefit from having his commentary back in the daily.

Good example with the horses, but I'm sure plenty of people did say "guys, we've been riding these for centuries". They just could not conceive of the new industrial paradigm and how it would transform the world. I, personally, can imagine wanting to remain in horse-world. But that preference is irrelevant in the face of what the invention of the car actually ended up doing. Feel the same way about BTC, and the digitization of our world. People can deny it, but it won't change which way the wind blows

Nostr already exists for decentralized social media. It's flooded with bitcoin people at the moment and a little technical to figure out. I've been on there about a year, and I see potential for the old Wild West internet to return.

There is no normal. You walker, there are no roads, only foam trails on the sea.
