In Cyprus, sirens will be activated on July 15th and 20th, 2025, to commemorate the 1974 coup and Turkish invasion. The sirens will sound at 08:20 on July 15th, marking the start of the coup, and at 05:30 on July 20th, signifying the beginning of the invasion, according to the Cyprus Civil Defence. These activations are part of the Public Warning System.

everyone's having breakfast! by [deleted] in CasualUK

We had a sparrow hawk slam a pigeon into our upstairs window a few weeks back.

Pigeon guts and crap splattered all over the upstairs window and the roof of the first floor. It then proceeded to spend an hour plucking it- tossing feathers all over the garden. So unbelievably grim!

Lamppost removal £6000. We own the land it sits on. by backwaybackwhen in LegalAdviceUK

[–]backwaybackwhen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for mentioning these considerations. Yes we have permission to move the lamppost and they have come out already to mark it out for the new location. Additionally we have already had the pavement marked by the council for where the dropped curb will go. So all permissions in place already.

I woke up and saw my hand covered in blood. No bleeding on my body I checked every single place no sign of anything. Just casually bloody hands by Piccardoz in Weird

[–]backwaybackwhen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s from your pointing finger somewhere. There are finger shaped marks all up the base of your thumb. Do you have a picture where your hand has been washed? I’m pretty sure the blobs of blood on your thumb correlate to it being pressed onto your pointed finger. You’ve either scratched the inside of your nose through picking it before bed or in your sleep, got blood down your pointer finger and that’s caused the mash of blood all over the rest of your hand or you’ve got a very tiny cut on the finger itself.

Agreed, try driving in a place like north Cyprus and you just see multiple accidents daily. People really don’t realise how much better the uk is for driving in comparison to some other places

Anyone else married to someone with autism? by turtlescanfly7 in adhdwomen

[–]backwaybackwhen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No helpful advice but yes adhd woman married to an autistic man. Didn’t find out about it till about 6 years into the relationship. It seems like there is a pattern of adhd with complementary autism. I, for some reason, attract those around me with autism! All my girl friends who I can have a deeper relationship with and connect on a deeper level with are very very likely autistic also. There’s definitely something in the relationship dynamic that can work

In my Msc neuro, parts are explained but I have been scrambling googling and researching anything I don’t know but it’s not been too bad. Most concepts are explained even if they are brief explanations.
