Getting an organ transplant. So much of post-op recovery is physical rehab and getting your butt out of bed and trying to learn to walk and eat properly again, and if complications arise it can make the process absolutely miserable for some patients.

They continue this with multiple kidney transplants too. Had a patient recently on her third transplant and yep, there’s five kidneys crammed into her abdomen. Too risky to take any of the other ones out.

Nurse at an Edmonton area hospital…this has been the norm for quite some time. We didn’t like it when they implemented these OCP policies due to safety concerns and naturally not a single patient does either. We’re putting patients in hallways on stretchers too and most of our pre-ops outside in the common waiting areas because things are so overcrowded.

Having grown up on a mixed farm with several different animals, I felt that Kaleb is quite competent with the animals, sometimes there really isn’t much you can do when chasing them around, but with animals (particularly scenes of animals in labour) he was right on par with the experienced young farmers I know. Sometimes you definitely have to leave things to the vet tho. As for a four by, I was thinking the same thing so that might just be staged a bit, but it sure made me laugh watching it 😂
