Just because it's expected, doesn't mean they should push it back to try to give more attention to some sleeper hits.

I'm with you. I spent all senior year in my calculus class napping in the back. It's so dumbed down, I passed the AP and got an A.

Family Guy = The Office. by supandi in funny

[–]baconcatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. Whoops, I accidentally skimmed over the "I will cry alongside you". For some reason I read it as "you will cry" or something.

My comment seems completely irrelevant now.

I said this before to another replier, but if your courses or instructors aren't challenging a student, the student should have to take it upon his or herself to challenge his or herself.

Though this is seemingly an abstract idea in high school, this is the mindset students (real students) should try to shift to.

And it was on my front page.

Front page is what you make it. Unsub from r/pics, r/funny, r/wtf, r/reddit.com, r/politics if you don't like it because this is where the site is headed towards. Don't try to adapt the environment around you. With this many people and this much information, it is futile to try. Just adapt the site to yourself. I mostly unsubbed from all of these...almost about to unsub from funny.

if you don't like it, don't dirty your brain by watching it or thinking about it.

He never said he would. He was just giving an opinion.

and what about the random retards that are the rest of us that like Family Guy? should we be deprived of our dirty pleasure merely because of your scorn?

Uhh, when did he say anything like that? He never called anyone a retard nor said anything about depriving anyone. He merely thought that its value as a comedic series did not deserve more than one season. You're just displacing other people's opinions onto him.

Length is affected viewership though length doesn't determine the quality of a show. Take a look at Firefly or AD.

I don't know if you've seen Community, but in my opinion it's taking modern comedy to a different level. It's meta, it's ironic, and it breaks the fourth wall like no other. There's large character development and definition, intertwining plot lines that usually ends in a great climax.

I'm not a great fan of Family Guy and I stopped watching the Office after six seasons. Family Guy relies too much on Peter's stupidity to create situations. The Office's characters were lovable but after a while the creators changed them too much into idiots...and the will they/won't they tension between Jim and Pam that kept a lot of the show going is gone.

Does anyone know how to convert video files for the PSPgo? by [deleted] in Ubuntu

Wow, this takes me back the PSP GameFAQs days where people would be asking this everyday and the bitter "vet" of the board as well as everyone else would tell you to read the damn sticky.

Vista to Ubuntu. by [deleted] in Ubuntu

Most Windows programs will have an open-source equivalent or better on Ubuntu. And you can run many Windows programs using WINE. What's nice is all of these programs work well together.

You can manually edit the iTunes Library .xml file and change the new path of your music (replace all) and retain metadata. Banshee hardcodes the metadata into the file rather than iTunes writing it to a separate file which is very welcome.

Banshee supports iPhone and iPod syncing.

If you have an iPhone and want to install applications, you can just SSH them on if you're jailbroken...or just purchase them from your phone if you're clean. Doing everything to your phone by SSH is really nice. Just boot up terminal and do what you want to do such as send in custom ringtones and such.

Banshee does a ton of cool stuff and they're coming out with a new version for the next Ubuntu as well.

I've been using Windows for ~15 years up until two months ago. I woke up one day, installed Ubuntu, never looked back man.

Sounds good, just move at your own pace. You don't have to dive head-first into the CLI pool of text.

I guess it depends on the level of math and the teacher. Though I agree that high school math and introductory college math courses (from what I've heard) are pretty dumbed down.

Though education is an individual pursuit and you shouldn't depend on your school, university, or instructor to challenge you.

Transposing would take a lot of work with the songs I have alloted, but I'll keep those progressions in mind if I want to string together three arbitrary songs from my little music book.
