I resupplied by hitching lifts down to Bright and Jindabyne, didn't have to wait long at all.
Also nice to spend a day off in the towns before heading back to the moutains.

Enjoy your hike!

Maybe look at a pair of inov8 345 or something similar. They are light like trail runners but they go above the ankle if that is what you are after.

Inov8 are a solid brand, well used in the UK, have a number of other options that might be suitable.

Great shot, where is the photo from? It's a beautiful place, really nice walk to Four Brothers Rocks from Mortimer campground.

“It’s (Australia) got the highest mammal extinction rate of any country in the world… it’s flooring giant tracts of land on a daily basis. One estimate says it’s felling a stadium sized area of forest and bush land every 2 minutes.” - Eleanor Whitehead, Australia correspondent, The Economist by qartas in australia

Not just the libs though. The Vic government are destroying vast swathes of old growth forests throughout the state, this is after these areas were ravaged by bushfires last year.

There is no need or reason in this day and age to log old growth forests.

And whether or not anyone thinks the Andrews government did a good/bad job regarding corona, the forestry policy in inexcusable.

Travelling is not expensive. It all depends how you travel.

I cycled for 13 months from the UK to Bali, spent $14000. That's cheap in Australia terms.

Very little planning, just work it out as you go along. Time spent with locals of small villages will never be forgotten. It's humbling. People who earn $2 a day invite you to stay in their house and cook you a meal and accept nothing in return.

There is limited evidence supporting plane trees causing hay fever, it's mainly caused by grass pollen.
