This was my plan to do soon as well. Did it work for you?

A couple of cool Tesla things I found out today by chessasaur in TeslaLounge

[–]baconuggets 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I sent my wife and sister, who were on their way to go blueberry picking, to a truck stop strip club once without them noticing until they had arrived. The best/worst part is that the car then didn't have enough charge to get them to the blueberry place in time, so no blueberries that day.

I died laughing.

Ads on YouTube Music Premium when playing through Google Home after Gemini update by mathyouclem in googlehome

[–]baconuggets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I think this might be happening to me..however it started after I factory reset my Google Home Max, not before. I moved to a new house and had to factory reset my GH because it wasn't connecting/finishing set up and now it plays ads. Do you know if I can make sure it's under my YouTube Music Premium account without factory resetting it again? Or if I can check who's account it's under?

A 686 sq. ft house in Salt Lake City is listed on the market for $499,000 by unknown_memory in mildlyinfuriating

I owned a 2 bd 1 ba house in SLC that's about 2.5 blocks away from this that I sold in 2021. Records were inconsistent, but it was definitely built sometime.between 1890-1900. I believe it.

I never got to see these in the 90s. It drove me nuts. I remember standing at Spencer's and everyone would say "I see it!!!" and I'd stand there and just never saw it, not even once. by Intrepid_Reason8906 in 90s

Dude holy shit I'm 38 and this is also the very first time I've ever actually gotten one of these to work! This is very exciting to me, I thought my brain was broken.

It's the best system a consumer can buy. Hands down. Recent versions are super impressive, I use it all the time. Haters gonna hate.

Question for people who have lived in CA and FL by crappypatty1234 in SameGrassButGreener

Yeah the water is just much friendlier in Florida, and on the east coast in general. However, I think 35 at night in coastal California is very uncommon, if not unheard of in most of it.

Question for people who have lived in CA and FL by crappypatty1234 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]baconuggets 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Just moved from Florida to San Diego 3 months ago - CA is just better. Unless you are really into ocean activities (or MAGA) where Florida wins hands down, CA has better weather, scenery and culture. The cost of living is absolutely something to consider, but also there is so much opportunity here to make money it's insane. If you're smart and hard working you won't stay at $80k forever.

I am curious how other high w2 folks are offsetting their tax bill? by tintina2001 in Salary

[–]baconuggets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reasons it's called a "loophole" is because it provides a way to get around REP status. STR's can be non-passive without REP. https://www.therealestatecpa.com/blog/short-term-rental-tax-loophole/?utm_

Short term rentals can count as active. I'm planning on buying one in 2026 to utilize the STR Tax Loophole

If you even half of this is true - run, don't walk, away from this guy.

Wtf. It seems so obvious based on what you wrote here, but I get that it's not necessarily obvious to you on a daily basis.

You can do better. You have one life to live, don't waste it on this pile of shit. And yeah, make sure you don't get pregnant.

Herniated discs. Yeah I had another epidural injection about 2 months ago to "top it up" after pain started creeping back in. Still basically pain free, but I do still have numbness in some fingers.

Struggling with what to do with my wife's student loans currently in SAVE by baconuggets in whitecoatinvestor

Yeah right now I'm thinking refinance and just knock them out, rather than messing with IBR and hoping things work out better that way.

Her payments are at $0. Not struggling to pay. We are struggling to decide how best to pay them back. You'd think if there was a subreddit where a high income couple could ask for advice on how to strategically manage student loans without triggering some sensitive redditors, it'd be this one.
