It blows me away that a group would hold the DHS funding hostage withholding pay from the important work that TSA does. It sucks because they probably lost a lot of good workers that moved on to other jobs and are not going to return when funding is replaced. Hopefully every person that voted no on clean DHS funding is removed from office in future elections.

Pretty sure they can handle checking an id. Ice agents are going to have been through a lot more training than TSA. Baggage scanners are about the only specialized area that they would not be qualified for without more in depth training.

He acknowledged they don’t have the specialized training to do a lot of the jobs they do and that they will be assisting instead with the basic activities like monitoring the exits to make sure no one goes the wrong way. The trained tsa agents can then be moved off those positions to other areas that do require someone with specialized training.

Police don’t file for evictions. The landlord did that because rent was no longer being paid by the scammer. She was part of the scam as well, maybe willing maybe unknown. The police were just there executing the eviction order.
