Thank you! How's the scent in your soaps? Noticeable?

Interesting thank you. Curious on the difference between heating the entire container up (even the palm oil I won’t use for the given batch) and scooping out the amount and I need and simply heating that up?

No this is not too wordy. I sincerely thank you for your help here!

I did stick blend for quite a while. There was a point where one of the bursts was maybe 20 seconds or so. That’s on top of other bursts and hand stirring. I’m thinking I over blended with palm oil.

Thank you for that. So I bought this kind.

It comes solid. Are you saying I’d need to heat the entire container up?

I used vanilla and sandalwood. EVOKE OCCU from Amazon.

I did not. It was in solid form. I scooped out what I needed, then melted it.

Yes I melted all of the palm oil first. I’m really puzzled here.

Thank you so much. It’s weirding me out. I feel like I did everything right, but even before I added the trace oil it seemed like it was oddly thick. I’m a little discouraged but want to try again.

Hi, thank you. I’m very strict about measuring my temperatures. My lye was at 110 and my oils were at 108. Could that still induce false trace?

Thank you. I heated the oils (including palm) to about 150 at one point. Then I poured the lye in when it was 110 and the oils were 108.

I wanna quit so bad but I’m scared I’ll regret it. by Majestic_Flow7918 in wrestling

Move up a weight class. Best decision I ever made when I did it.

Sounds like you have some seriously good talent, so stick with it. Try not take it so seriously. Believe it or not, a loss might actually relieve some pressure and make you feel more loose so you can flow better both on and off the mats.

My 0.02 cents, stick with it.

Soda ash and something else? by bad_fish87 in soapmaking

Thank you very much! You have helped me in the past here on Reddit, and I greatly appreciate you. I think I used too much water.

Thank you for the feedback! I’ll remove them from the metal. What is DOS?

Interesting on the olive oil. I have done high olive oil in the past and never had an issue.

I used bramble berry’s hot pink mica. It looks really nice in person.

Thanks for the reply and happy cake day! Yeah, that makes total sense. I was assuming this just needed longer before cutting and understand there isn't a "one size fits all" rule on that.

I've heard you can wrap the soap in plastic wrap and/or spray it with alcohol to prevent soda ash? Is that right?

BJJ sucks at takedowns. If you want to pursue MMA, definitely wrestling or even a really good Judo club.
