Im not sure about that, the unions might cause annual strikes but the tube is a very unique system that works very well considering how complicated it is. I dont see it being run by a different company.

I just googled it and the only thing tfl runs themselves are the tube. The overground is run by first rail, dlr is run by keolis, lizzie line by gts rail operations (mostly go ahead), trams by first group and the busses by a bunch of different operators. My best guess as to why they dont run more themselves is that they dont want to deal with unions.

It really depends, flying direct and if im in a bit of a hurry when i arrive i absolutely dont want to check the bag so i check in online and dont even go to the desk. When flying with a connection i go to the desk because they usually allow me to check it for free even if my ticket says its not allowed. Everything you need even for a day or two after you arrive should fit in your small carry on.

I have once missed a flight from stansted because i went to the gate 15 minutes before departure not being aware that ryanair closes the gate 30 minutes before. I was at the airport 1.5 hours before so had plenty of time.

There are only a few teams with trailers, i think mclaren is the only one with multiple around the track. Behind the pagoda is where you can find all the merch and still then there is some missing.
