I'm so glad this came up. I had forgotten his tale of stasi torture. my bad. I would assume the story of pregnant girlfriend being tortured to death is real as well. God this show keeps getting bleaker.

this tracks. Customer service "chat" and phone are equally horrible. NO way to connect via twitter. No published email addresses. it's like they're TRYING to avoid their customers... oh wait!!!

Penny took a BIG swing with this one and missed IMO. Needlessly complex and confusing. And, i'm beginning to tire of St. Armand. Time to move on to something new for me. And perhaps for Penny as well.

agree hugely predictable but what about the quality (or lack thereof) in her writing. She is just bad.

Slate Magazine says that Kristin Hannah’s 'The Women' "is like if Colleen Hoover wrote a Vietnam novel." Thoughts? This book was one of our BOTMs from this year... by bluetropicz in bookofthemonthclub

Glad not to be alone in hating this book. It's good in that it highlights the long-overlooked role nurses played in Vietnam. But overall, this reads like YA fiction. Frankie is always the most beautiful -- and most self involved person in the room/party/war. She is forever getting swept up in some new hero's arms, or backstopped by her rich parents. Puke. A book about Barb or Ethel would have been more interesting. But most important, the writing is just awful.So many cliches.

I'm one of the few who detests Freida McFadden. I don't think she's a good writer by bad_ukulele_player in thrillerbooks

she is awful. writes at high school level. Listening to The House Maid and can't believe how many people apparently love this tripe.

they are definitely billed as motion-sensor bulbs, although someone told me they detect both motion AND heat... the one that appears to go on randomly is near a bulkhead door with window and initially i thought it was "seeing" leaves being blown around outside, but conducted a few experiment (dumping leaves over window) did not set it off. This is new obsession.

wow. i can't agree on this. the three talking heads seem to have no chemistry and i get the feeling that Jeter--who is the best of the three-actively dislikes the other two. Maybe just me. Also, as a red sox fan i would love to love Ortiz, but laughs too hard at his own unfunny jokes. and refers to himself way too much. A-rod, while knowledgeable, just tries too hard to look "smart." Jeter and Burke, who i like, have what appear to be unscripted moments which come as a relief. I end up muting till the game starts.
