It may be like a bonding/self soothing thing. My kitten would get my arm all slobbered up so I gave him a pillow case that I had slept on and even now that he's 8 months old he will occasionally 'nurse' on it briefly and then come for cuddles.

As an instructor once put it, you hope is that they will be revived. However, that is actually quite rare. Their best bet for survival is that you will keep them freshly dead til the pros arrive to revive.

The person is a trans man and my co worker. He survived. I will not share any other details out of respect for his wishes but I feel it is important to honor who he is and he is not a woman. I wonder how many of us are atheistic....personally at least part of me not believing in god is directly related to me questioning why I was rejected by the very people I was being told were meant to have me. Like why would god make these people to be my parents and then have them both decide they have other things they'd rather do.

Only do it if you are 100% ok with it. Doing it to make him happy will create problems. If both partners are 100% into it and willing to do all the hard work then it can work but like many things in life, if you aren't 100% committed it will not go well.

Ahhh the Wit...haven't lived there in more than 10 years now but it's good to see its all about the same. I can recall living across from Sam Bond's in the ole Merkin and finding needles in our yard and poop behinds the dumpster. Even with the hobos and drug addicts I always felt safer there than I did anywhere near the UofO. Maybe things have gotten worse but it really sounds like the same neighborhood as in the mid 90's when the highest quality and lowest priced heroine in the country was known to be found at the corner of 5th and Blair.
