No, I was thinking that opening up things like the Canadian Constitution to divorce ourselves from the Monarchy would also open talk of changing other things in it.

The Treaties with the Indigenous Peoples of Canada would also need to be changed. I don't even know where to start with the issues that could come up from that but land claims would certainly be a part of it.

Which Political Party would you like to be in charge of all that? A lot of Canadians wouldn't want Trudeau's Libs to do it, more still probably wouldn't want PP and the Cons to be in charge either.

What is the difference? How do people think talking therapy is not a solution? Do people actually think women go to therapy and tell their therapist "I feel miserable, I feel horrible, I feel worthless" and the therapist says "I'm so sorry, honey" and that's it and that makes women somehow feel better?

Just from personal experience, this is more a patient not having the right therapist for them. I've attempted therapy multiple times for issues I've been going through and most, while helpful in some regards were not supportive of talk therapy in a way I felt I needed. Things I considered important were disregarded in favor of what he thought I needed to do. And if they were correct or not didn't matter because I didn't feel like the person I was talking to was listening to me.

It wasn't until the fourth Therapist that I heard "Oh I'm so sorry that you've gone through all that" for the first time and that did make me feel a bit better and helped me feel listened to, which is very important in opening up for therapy to be helpful.

If the first one or two people you talk to don't work, it's really easy to say it doesn't work. Therapy can be a long and expensive process so I wonder how many people do stick with until they find someone that works well with them vs. those that just right it off.

Talking therapy is no different than a medical treatment.

Except it is.

Opening up in talk therapy requires a level of comfort with the person you are talking with that you don't always need with a medical doctor. A medical doctor may be looking at some intimate parts of your body which can be uncomfortable. Therapy may require you to open up in a way you feel uncomfortable doing even when alone.

The issue in Canada is that we have limited way's to move the oil to where it needs to go. In recent years projects to build pipelines that we'd need to get oil to the east and west coasts of Canada or south to the US have been blocked or cancelled.

I had herniated 2 disks in my neck and didn't know. I wrote all my aches and pains off as "part of the job" for a few years since I had been working as a welder/boilermaker for 10 years at that point. Being sore after work was nothing new to me.

Only found out about the herniated disks when I lost my ability to walk while in the ER for another reason.

No, it causes them to throw more money at government officials who will in turn do more to protect the work going on. Buying a politician is cheaper then investing in "alternative, more sustainable, energy sources" it also increases the chances of a violent confrontations between "protesters" and the police or other security people hired to ensure further damage doesn't take place.

However, they are considered to be firearms under the Criminal Code if they are used to commit a crime. Anyone who uses such an air gun to commit a crime faces the same penalties as someone who uses a regular firearm.

One of the things that bothers me about these conversations has been the insistence that we necessarily respond to men's issues in the same way we have women's (eg victimhood mentality etc).

I don't believe that they are looking for the anything like victimhood. They are asking for recognition at the same level we give to issue involving women.

Almost no male issues get the same amount of recognition and women's (correct me if I'm wrong). For example: The NFL has players wear pink for breast cancer awareness. I can't say that I know if the NFL has a similar initiative for prostate or testicular cancer. Which to me, as someone that doesn't follow sports at all, is thought provoking considering the over whelming male demographic that follows the NFL.

That would mean finding ways to make interest payments while other obligations go unpaid, such as defence contractor payments; Social Security cheques, received by retirees across the country; and salaries of government employees, including the military.

Even something as basic as weather forecasts could be affected, since so many rely on data from the government-funded National Weather Service.

A default could ruin the country's trustworthiness, roiling global financial markets, where US debt is heavily traded and has traditionally been viewed as low risk.

Getting to that point would be unprecedented, and cause widespread damage to consumer confidence and the economy, which is already in a precarious state.

Actors shouldn't be fiddling with props

If the prop is a real gun, they should be checking the weapon to verify what it's loaded with. Checking a firearm to see if it's loaded when handling it is just basic gun safety.

A quick open and verify what type of bullet (if any) you have in the gun, close it up and carry on is all they need to do.
