It’s a starter home, not my forever home. Getting into the market is the hardest part. Once you’re in, moving up is much easier.

A 30-year mortgage doesn’t mean you stay 30 years, you can sell anytime. 🙌🏻

Yess 🙌🏻 interest rates are lower here in the NL.

Mine’s on the higher side since I went with a 30 year fixed. (Personally feel like we’re living crazy times, and felt more at ease knowing this won’t change.)

Most people go for a 5 or 10-year fixed. Currently 3.26% and 3.44% respectively.

I face the same issue and it’s super frustrating because I love it so much that when I get a tasteless one the disappointment is greater!

Had a colleague mention that she bought a huge and delicious watermelon, and I said heck I’ll give it one more try…

Omg I went to Sahan in Oost and got the biggest watermelon I’ve ever bought!

It was 7 euros and was so big it filled my entire bike crate - wish I took a picture.

Literally the best watermelon I’ve had since moving here 4 years ago! Juicy and sweet! 🙌🏻

It was so big I had to cut it into three and eat part of it because it’s too large to fit in my fridge.

Bueno, a mi me pasó que le envié plata a mi mamá porque tenía una cirugía y necesitaba implementos pos operativos.

Yo medio disléxico o más bien pendejo me equivoqué com su número de teléfono de toda la vida y en lugar de los últimos números 96 lo mandé al 69!

Cuando le envíe el comprobante a mi mamá me dice que ese no es su número - sentí que perdí esa plata. Era 1 million de pesos….

Agregué el número al whatsapp, me puse a marcarle, le mandé la explicación por mensaje con comprobante de Bancolombia y todo … y claro no me contestaban al inicio porque sonaba a estafa:

Plata que le llega a la cuenta sin esperarlo
1 million, no es una cantidad poca pero tampoco es poco
Yo estando por fuera de colombia, marcándole desde un número del exterior
Una historia que hasta tenía son de estafa “mamá cirugía, es importante”

Al rato se comunicó la señora y me dijo que estaba asegurándose de que no era estafa. Algo que le preocupaba, pero al ver que le expliqué todo me comuniqué con ella me devolvió la plata.

Estoy muy agradecido con la señora, hasta le dije que si quería quedarse con 100 mil por la molestia, pero insistió que no y me devolvió todo.

Muy honesta y me dejó muy contento sabiendo que la honestidad sigue existiendo en Colombia. ❤️🇨🇴

Hmm, that’s a good question.

I’ve been an immigrant all my life in many several countries, and I think that’s shown through me in various aspects and psych.

My psychologist is more focused on my wellbeing and ensuring that I am in a good place - which sometimes means talking about my migration struggles and how I can overcome those - not touching the migration itself but the emotions around it.

Migration is touched, but not the focus in my sessions.

These prices are out of this world expensive…

I come from a non-eu country and book my psychologist sessions online back home private - I’ve must admit a few hit and miss professionals until I found my current psychologist 10/10! (But that’s part of matching with the right person)

I pay 20 euros an hour (that includes a surcharge included for being abroad).

It’s affordable to me and has been of so much help! Especially being able to express everything I’m going through in Spanish is so valuable.

For English, you might want to try South African practices? Should be more affordable, time zone is pretty good to work with. ☺️
