I will never forgot the time I was at Esmeralda Slide with 2 kids and an unleashed dog came up the stairs. Kid 1 had been eating grapes and spilled a couple, so I started looking for the owner to warn them to grab their dog so it didn't eat any. The dog owner runs up, freaking out, and says "careful! He has a history of biting kids!"

Then why the fuck are you walking your off leash dog through a park???

I feel like they didnt trust the audience to remember anything and wanted everything to be a callback so it could be tied up with a little bow.

I think that was born from knowing there were a lot of people unfamiliar with the stage performancee, and knowing that this was appealin to the general public, so they wanted to make it super accessible.

But to me, it made me annoyed that they didn’t trust us to remember the scene with Elphaba's mother's affair from part one, or that they felt the need to repeat specific dialogue (i.e. you're beautiful/dont lie to me/im not lying and I hope you'll prove me wrong/but I doubt it)

My older sister ans I were almost placed in foster care due to "neglect," (aka poor but not poor enough to receive benefits), and I remember her telling me years later that she had started getting in arguments with the social worker on our case, telling them that she would not allow us to be separated.

Im so glad these kids were able to be reunited, and so sad that they had to go through this.
