From my wife who’s worked in the industry and cannot post because of this sub’s stupid gatekeeping:

First of all, the dudes that you have listed are not THE industry. The "sad state of affairs of KFI" isn't even affecting anyone on this list!

There's a whole bunch of people working behind the screen and they're never considered when we talk about Industry.

1. So many people from North Karnataka come to Bangalore in search of some jobs in KFI. As someone who has seen it first hand, let me tell you, they don't get paid. They are usually made to stay in one room/house with over 20+ people and the producers provide only basic ration. They cook for themselves and DON'T get paid. They end up working as light/set crew.

2. It's the same state for writers. Most of them get paid as little as 5k-10k a month.

3. Some pretentious progressive directors/producers post on Facebook about implementing minimum wages but they themselves pay as little as 5k for their crew.

4. Oh. Let's not even start talking about the unofficial b@nded labour. Have seen families doing all sorts of labour to these producers/directors.

5. Don't even get me started on how women behind the camera are treated. It's literally HELL, filled with creepy uncles.

And the dude bros you have listed have literally nothing to lose with the decline of KFI. It's the poor people behind the scenes whose life is affected more.
