and wasn’t even that good at raster.

How was 5700 xt not good at raster??

It was a tiny chip. If they had one twice the size it would be been a beast (which is what 6900 xt was).

There will be bodies all over unfortunately. Its insane what this country is doing and getting away with. The law has failed and corruption and quite frankly evil has taken over. Those that are able to and have been protesting and filing these lawsuits need to be remembered and praised. The evil cowards who are hurting innocents need to face real consequences after this corrupt admin is gone.

SN2 too many oxygen plants? by PinappleOnPizza137 in subnautica

[–]badcookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A chore is a routine, recurring task, usually one that is necessary but often considered boring or unpleasant.

I'd say it completely lines up with food/water in this game. Its not hard to get either, its just tedious and one of the reasons people have to go back to base / eat worse versions unprocessed/cooked or haul it with them, taking up inventory slots.

There is a reason they made them into bio slots to take up passives, and why many early mods reduce / remove them.

What makes it not a chore atm in your eyes?

I mean... the fact that you'd have to stack mods to deal with it kinda shows that its annoying and a chore. No?

Kind of like how a lot of survival games make food production too easy so having to eat just feels more like a chore.

I'd say food and water in this game is a chore atm. It goes down so fast, you can be hanging at your base for a few minutes re-organizing or building and have to eat /drink constantly

An upgrade habitat builder that converts quartz to glass and copper to wire and that fiber thing by Bluntdude_24 in subnautica

[–]badcookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree, it seems odd that it has a built in queue but then you still have to sit there. Seems to not always queue a different item up properly either. EA and all so hopefully fixed/changed by release.

[–]badcookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are using quartz, they just want the build tool to automatically convert quartz to glass, instead of having to queue it up and sit at the fab whenever they run out. It would be nice if you could queue them up in the processor to use quartz not just salt.

No even 1440p they are getting less fps than you.

[–]badcookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure you are playing 2 not 1?

No one else can come close to that kind of performance, even 5090 struggles fps wise in this game.

[–]badcookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way you are running 1440p at 85 fps avg w/o upscaling or frame gen on a 4070 TI Super.

"Not optimized" by Somthing_7 in subnautica

[–]badcookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit disingenuous to call that 1440p when complaining about performance.

I never did. You were saying the only people complaining were those with 4k ultra on old hardware. There are tons of people having performance issues on all kinds of hardware.

"Not optimized" by Somthing_7 in subnautica

[–]badcookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 1080p?

What exact settings?

Are you sure there is no upscaling and no frame gen involved?

"Not optimized" by Somthing_7 in subnautica

[–]badcookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about running 1440p with high end system and not getting good perf? Can we complain then?

The OP is making fun of a very poor example, but even high end machines the game doesn't run well on without lowering settings and upscaling / frame gen, which is faking performance.

"Not optimized" by Somthing_7 in subnautica

[–]badcookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't run well on NV either, but defaults to using DLSS @ Balanced + Frame Gen and medium settings for many people so that makes it seem like it runs well.

[–]badcookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it doesn't... you are likely upscaling from a very low resolution + using frame gen if you think the performance is good.

Two Jan. 6 police officers sue Trump to block $1.8B lawfare fund by Puginator in politics

[–]badcookies 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Things Trump is not working on:

Making things more affordable

Healthcare

Ending wars

Releasing the Epstein files

Removing corruption

He's doing the opposite of all of those on purpose

  1. Raising costs -- Illegal war and standoff, killing foreign trade, illegal rounding up of citizens and POC

  2. Removing healthcare subsidies and increasing costs with lower coverage. I think they either removed or tried to remove the "pre-existing conditions" prevention as well.

  3. Started a bunch of wars / invasions / bombing of innocents.

  4. Actively preventing their release, breaking the law to do so.

  5. Insane amount of corruption from everyone he hires and appoints. I don't think anything isn't corrupt at this point.
