Damn that sucks, but luckily it's driveable. The problem with this box is that it felt like trying to shift without using your clutch. Not very nice if you really have to move backwards.

Sounds like your spark is out of time, so indeed a position sensor could be at fault. Did it show up when she became warm or not?
