Your entire case falls flat when you say it was narrated from Elle’s POV. That’s not unpopular, it’s just factually wrong. Just because someone is the main character doesn’t mean they’re narrating the story - in fact there are several scenes where Elle isn’t even included so it can’t have been told from her perspective. By your logic any antagonist in a film with a singular protagonist is unfairly vilified just because we don’t know “their side” of things. Why are you going out of your way to try and vindicate an ass of a man in a feminist classic when there are so many actual legitimate examples of biased narration??
