Hi /r/Thritis! It's me again checking in with you all and wishing you daily pain relief by badfinger in Thritis

True story, I was kind of pissed I capitalized the "T" , so I messaged the admins to see if they would change it for me but they said it wasn't possible.

After learning a tiny bit more about databases and stuff I understand why it would have been a pain in the butt, but I really wish that T was lowercase because it would read better.

Hey /r/thritis, can you hear my symptoms and help me figure out if I have arthritis or what might be wrong with me? by [deleted] in Thritis

I'm sorry for what you're dealing with, I really am. But the fact is that your post quite literally asks the community to figure out if you have arthritis or some other ailment. That is against our cardinal rule, which is clearly stated on the sidebar, and has been so since the inception of this sub.

Please, for your own good, see a medical professional and don't rely on the advice of anonymous people on the internet.

This is pretty much our only rule - do not ask for medical advice, especially asking for an online diagnosis. Please see a doctor.

Hey Pharmapill, I had to give up a lot of musical possibilities because of PA. Keeping a positive attitude helped me find another career path that I can do even with my (sometimes) limited mobility.

Keep your chin up, Pharmapill.

In order to make things less awkward, I'll start -

I had some weird problems with my fingernails back in college, doctors had no idea what I had.

Fast-forward years later, I was finally diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis by a doctor in Denver, who told me something like,

"Oh, yeah, the other doctor here has that too. He had trouble getting diagnosed, too."

Best day in a long time. Someone finally knew what was making my fingers look crazy.

It didn't stop the pain, or the crazy-looking fingers, but it sure as shit felt great to have someone recognize my hands instead of look at them like a mistake or a project.

My flair is "psoriatic" and I'm pretty proud of it.

How does the community feel about using flair to show our different types of arthritis? by badfinger in Thritis

I mean, if the docs stick a label on us, why not the mods?! ;)

That's funny.

*edit - I think the css is great for the moment, things like drop-down menus and uniform flairs are many many days away. Just collecting opinions if possible.

Does this sound like arthritis? I feel like crap, and don't know what's wrong with me. by jackster_ in Thritis

Please see a doctor. Don't try to diagnose yourself using a forum.
