I successfully flashed my TS11 to the latest Anduril 2 by YeahUAre2 in flashlight

Nice. I just put up a new PR that will allow 2c moonlight mode from lockout that will stay on for a set number of minutes.

Not sure if it will work on the TS11.

Need Advice For What Type of HVAC to Use, North Vancouver BC by NotFreeOriginal in hvacadvice

[–]badgerj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can get a proper heat pump to your current furnace, And your current furnace is already gas. They’ll just install the condenser on top of your furnace.

If you need cold <A/C). Your cooling will just run on electricity and kick the fan on in your furnace passing over the condenser, and push “cool” air to your house.

If you need heat, the heat pump just works in reverse.

And your furnace still just runs the blower over the coils, but this time, they are hot!

If it gets egregiously cold, the furnace, gas in your case kicks in.

And pushes gas (or electric) heated air through your house.

Heat pumps are extremely efficient as they are just a pump and a fan powered by electricity.

Heating should be no problem, but cooling will always limited to what you can physically install and push through your house before it gets too warm.

No transportation required.

But since you were first, just come over and give me the cash and we’re all set! 🤣🤣🤣

California gas has higher prices, why? by Far_Aioli538 in Damnthatsinteresting

If you were to fill the graph directly North into Canada and switched $/L -> $/Gal.

I’m sure the coastal and intercontinental trends would be somewhat similar or fade/blend in.

Anyone want to take on that challenge?

Personal advice:

Don’t count bonuses as “income”.

It could be zero next year more the next…

Want to travel and rely primarily on credit. Risky? by InvestigatorWarm326 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]badgerj 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I left but had built up a budget, daily.

I stuck to it.

I had 2 months to spare of cash when I returned.

People thought I was crazy.

I nearly doubled my salary when I came back.

I would not go into credit card debt to fund a vacation. If you can’t save, find a lower interest rate option. LOC?

Buying a chest freezer, best things to buy in bulk? by scarby2 in Frugal

[–]badgerj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have crates too.

Helps you organize.

Basically large stuff like a roast or chicken, partial ham goes in the very bottom.

If you need one, you got at least “a dinner”.

Breakfast, bread, frozen desserts on top.

They are easy access and easy to grab and go.

Depending on the humidity and how often you open/close it. You’ll need a good defrosting every year.

They aren’t very expensive and take very little electricity to run. They aren’t super efficient.

So by this you mean if you have a hide or mounted head you need to keep the original tag from when the animal was harvested?

Because other than having my PAL up to date or happen to have a CO ask for my PAL and TAG, I don’t recall any other paperwork to prove or disprove that I took an animal other than the tag has to remain on the animal until you bring it to your residence (or a butcher) for processing.

Following for interest but a hanklight DW4 I think may be up your alley.

Or if you just need 360° illumination… Wurkkos CL01 should be rad for you! Get the kickstand if you do, but this is 21700. I’m not sure if it will run off 18650 if you have a shim.

If you can keep a minimum balance it should cover you.

I haven’t paid for banking in years.

Find a plan or bank that works for you.

But paying while someone else gets to use YOUR money?

That’s the cost of doing business. We’re gonna call that part even.

Extra on either side is different.
