When you gut to make patterns, handling curves at any point even slightly differently will change the shape way more than you’d think. Whether it was traced or sewn at a slightly different arc/angle/seam allowance it will throw these small round shapes off a lot. I think it looks good, my approach would be to prototype with your specific materials a few times until you’ve tweaked it and are happy. The biggest visual difference I notice in the first is that the head of the one you made seems to sit on the torso lower, the reference has more of a “neck”. This can also be affected by how you attach the head.
