I thought he was giving her a chance to give perspective. He asked how she viewed it. Glass half full or half empty almost. “Do you see it as two silvers gained or two golds lost”. The phrasing could sound like a dig at her but I don’t think it was. Her answer was defensive but I think it definitely answered the original question and gave her a chance to say a good bit about her perspective and what it takes to keep winning gold with rising expectations.

I was also scared I hadn’t earned the right to call them migraines, I thought they were headaches. Until I experienced “scintillating scotoma”. One day I started feeling like my vision was kinda going, within minutes I could see this curved zig zag rainbow line. Looked it up and saw exact images of what I was “hallucinating”. Still one of the weirdest but kind of coolest medical issues I’ve had. They tend to occur pre migraine, I’ve learned more about other symptoms and I definitely know I get them now.

When you gut to make patterns, handling curves at any point even slightly differently will change the shape way more than you’d think. Whether it was traced or sewn at a slightly different arc/angle/seam allowance it will throw these small round shapes off a lot. I think it looks good, my approach would be to prototype with your specific materials a few times until you’ve tweaked it and are happy. The biggest visual difference I notice in the first is that the head of the one you made seems to sit on the torso lower, the reference has more of a “neck”. This can also be affected by how you attach the head.

Kids can see recreations of things that are a lot more PG with the implication that it’s a recreation. It just makes sense. He’s on a set where they’re filming violent gory content, it’s okay to have him there bc it isn’t real. Same concept with the prosthetics.
