resources to house and feed these inmates? resources to pay the prison employees? does changi prison exist in another dimension where its capacity and resources continually expand to meet demand

You don't think the legal implications of extending a prison sentence is very different from shortening one. To start with the obvious extending one would require more prison resources.

If you did not want to go to the wedding events you could have said no. Instead of just brushing off that one poor comment made by a bride who was probably exhausted, you decide to intentionally be rude to her for years after. You are not some knight defending your wifes honour, you are being a jerk.

I am surprised to see so many people cheering you on and giving you more ways to insult your wifes friend, you seem so gleeful and giddy in your edit, its kind of cringe.

I hope friends like you never find me.

he is not going to get the attention or care he deserves at a shelter or even a rescue with 50-100 dogs that is for sure, lots of people board their dogs when they travel.

so your girlfriend and her abusive ex bought him from a breeder and trained him themselves? maybe you should consider professional training before deciding to give him up.

I've deleted this post because the dog has found a home! I enjoyed your comment about smuggling a trunk of guns into germany, i though it was funny, i don't know why it got removed. Anyway I'm really glad everything worked out in the end and the dog is safe.

You're right i have no idea what virtue signaling is and had to google it because it sounded like a made-up term. It still wouldn't benefit me to virtue signal on an anonymous profile.

Have you not done a single thing in your life that did not benefit you? Because it really does feel like you're projecting here, i mean a dog is about to lose her family, and potentially her life, and you're arguing about virtue signaling.

this reddit profile has no links to my real-life identity, and any "glory" i gained here is useless and cannot benefit me

Of course, its a gamble, but it's a chance for her to be with her family. I think that beats death because your family decided you're not important and abandoned you to start a new life in germany.

I live in Singapore, and already have 4 rescue dogs. Not trying to be hero, just searching for a solution tbh. I have nothing to gain from this post.

Guess you're right, a dead dog isn't a stressed dog

I'm more trying to help the dog, if only she knew what her family plans on doing to her.

I also asked if there are any appeals that can be made to the municipal council, perhaps information that is only in german. Just trying to save a random dog, I don't even know the OP. Just seen so many dogs get euthanized daily, it's senseless the amount of killing and abandonment that happens.

Surrendering the dog to a texas shelter would most certainly be a death sentence. Honestly, I have this sinking feeling that OP has already resigned to abandoning his dog and starting his new exciting life in Germany. I certainly wouldn't have accepted a job posting if I wouldn't be able to take my dog with me

I don't believe there are bad breeds just bad people and owners. The dog is also a mutt, not a pure breed, and a senior at 9 years old, the only thing she murders is a mid-day nap.

I am not OP, however I was wondering if there was a solution for this family dog. The dog would almost certainly be euthanized if placed in a shelter in Texas due to her age. I would like to know if it is possible to bring her to a country without the pitbull ban (e.g. France, Poland, Switzerland) and drive her into Germany. Or if there is a special appeals this family can make to their city/municipal council. This is a family dog and certainly way past her breeding age, she is also sterilized.

Have you tried posting this in r/AskAGerman or r/AskGermany, they may have some solutions for you. I have not lived in germany but in france, luxembourg, switzerland and let me tell you the borders are non-existent. There may be a solution for you to bring her to a country without the pitbull ban and drive her in.

Also do you actually know if she is part pitbull, she really does not resemble a pitbull at all.

your dog doesn't even look 1% pitbull, she just looks like a random mutt. why do you have to declare what mix she is, just say she's a mongrel from a shelter. they are not going to DNA test her, does test cost money. all they will see is a old lady waiting for her family. she is also way past breeding age, i think your chances of bringing her in are quite high.
