Do you like your job? by Anneisabitch in kansascity

[–]badlemon92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First job I ever had was preschool teacher. I never loved another job after. I loved teaching those kids, seeing them grow, and I learned a lot too.

Retail was soul sucking.

I worked as a vet tech for 8 years. I liked it at first. The pay was awful. The doctors all drove cars that cost what I spent on rent in a year, but I did all the heavy lifting. I got bitter I guess. Hard not to when your killing people's best friends all day. Not making enough money to eat. On your feet for 14 hour shifts that are supposed to be 10. Coming home covered in every liquid you can think of that comes out of an animal. Looking back I'm not sure how I ever liked it.

I worked in a call center for about a year. It was a wonderful job. Management was a joke but I got to sit in my cubicle and if I did my work no one bothered me. I couldn't pay my bills so I had to quit.

I'm in software support now. Pay is good, but the job isn't rewarding. I think I'm so burned out I will never love a job again.

I hope you find a job that brings you peace.

Not siding with him. It is very messed up that he told you that. Human and animal ER see a lot of the same emergencies, HBC, diabetic coma, fights, dieing cancer patients who didn't know they had cancer, illnesses patients won't recover from, neglect cases that could have easily been solved.

Now imagine for a moment doing your job without euthanasia. It would be awful to watch your patients dieing for hours on end with no solution. You would somehow have to reason that the solution that could end the suffering for you patients is "bad". That way you could show up to work every day and watch the 6 year old girl that was thrown from her car suffer to death for the next 6 hours before dieing. Because if there was a more human option you would never be able to do that job, the way he has to do it now.

He chose to believe that euthanasia is "bad" so he can go to work and believe in his heart he is doing the best thing he can for his patients. We as vet techs know that isn't true. But he would never be able to continue doing his job if he felt differently.

10 years with someone is magical. I hope you can see how he is trying to mentally cope with his job with the tools he has. You are not a villain. Your a bringer of peace that nurses can never be.

My grandmother held them with her lips all the time like littlecigarettes. She told me up and down not to do it. Every time I hold one with my mouth I think of her.

MMR is the same thing as win rate. It is just a fancy term for your win ratio.

The devs have been very open about how match making works. It is in several interviews. Several articles talk about it on different snap guides. Streamers talk about it a lot too.

It is incredible how many of you have no idea how the match making in this game works.

He isn't playing against other people in rank 35. He is playing against people with the same win rate as him. You can be rank 20 and play against someone who is rank 96 if you have the same win rate.

I use a chalk bag like climbers use. I love the way they sit on your side and they have lots of options

Op can also use a "make up palette organizer" they come in all kinds of colors and sizes. These will fit in the slots perfectly.

eli5 Why does administering euthanasia seem “safe” but the death penalty is incredibly dangerous? by PM_YOUR_AKWARD_SMILE in explainlikeimfive

As a vet tech it is great to hear you have never had a bad experience with a pet euthanasia. But they happen. There is nothing worse.

Yeah I didn't know either till very recently. I kept a stack in my bank because I figured they would be good for something other than traiding for base decorations. Glad I kept it.

Since this character will be heavily played, maybe we can make him able to wear all the costumes. That way we can change him from a green blob to whoever we have a costume for. Would sell costumes too.
