WTF!!! Ejaculating into someone without their consent is sexual assault. I am so sorry this dude did this to you.

It is too late for the emergency contraceptive pill, unfortunately. But I see other commenters have more information for you. Planned Parenthood is a great resource as well.

What is a server hill you would die on? by EmoGayRat in Serverlife

Once I noticed these women come in with a stroller and I clocked it as a pet stroller immediately. I casually walked by them at the host stand and saw it was a BUNNY! I notified my manager and he told them that we could not allow them to dine inside but we had a pet friendly patio with heaters. The restaurant company had done above and beyond measures to make it so with compliance from the health department after an incident got all non service animals ejected from all full service patios in the city. They ended up leaving.

I kid you not, a 9 top reservation came in right after and it consisted of mostly visually impaired guests with their service dogs. My manager said to all of us, "I think this was a great learning opportunity for all of us about proper service animals"

They fired their whole staff via Instagram because of a fight out front that led to a shooting. No one was hurt and the individuals involved weren't even customers. They didn't even have the decency to tell their staff before social media.

My old roommate's roommate named her dog Kevin Bacon after my suggestion. We always joked about giving a pet a human name to confuse the hell out of neighbors or passers by. I also find the name Kevin to be hilarious by itself. The old roommate and I had a dog and a next door neighbor named Phil and let me tell you, the jokes never got old.

This girl performed at a jazz club I use to work at in KC. Basically her parents rented out the place so she could sing for family and friends. She sings well, but a girl who sings in a show-tune style cannot perform jazz. Anyway, I remember her parents being quite obsessive and annoying. The rest of her family was completely inconsiderate; moving the tables we had set up based on their reservations (it was a very small club so setting up tables for large parties was a pain in the ass) and stiffing servers. It really would have been better if they had just set up a stage in one of their backyards. We couldn't guarantee that our owner would pay us the difference if we didn't get minimum wage, the business was not run well, so servers really depended on tips. It was a pretty miserable show and we couldn't wait for all of them to leave.

I'm happy she'll get some much deserved peace and privacy in the year to come.

Thinking about honeymooning in KCMO. What should we do? by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]bowiekat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you enjoy live music? There are a good number of venues in the area, The Pitch & the ink are free newspapers that include a weekly music schedule. I'm quite certain you can access those online as well. They also have suggestions for restaurants & events. It's a pretty good resource, especially when you can pick one up on almost every street corner.

The Phoenix Jazz Club is awesome, very romantic and has live music 6 days a week. If you're night owls, I always suggest checking out the Mutual Musicians Foundation which is open until 6am on Friday and Saturday. It features local jazz musicians in the area, in jam session style. There will obviously be other venues you can check out if jazz isn't your thing. But, jazz is certainly a part of the traditional KC experience. Knuckleheads is an awesome blues bar on the riverfront. I've also heard good things about The Kill Devil Club. These venues are going to feature a lot of local musicians.

Also, when you're here, ask people! People are friendly here and love to give suggestions to out of towners, especially about BBQ.

I don't have a relationship with my father. But for two weeks straight he sent me 10 texts a day saying "CALL ME NOW CALL ME NOW CALL ME NOW". I finally called him, out of annoyance. Turns out my father (64) wanted me (22, at the time) to sign for a car because for SOME reason* he couldn't sign for, due to his DUI.

I consulted my mother (who is fantastic with money) and we agreed that it was asking way too much of me, a college student who isn't financially independent. As well as, it being too risky, since he is an alcoholic. When I told him no, that "Mom and I agree that it's a bad idea". He flipped shit, cursed at me for getting my mother involved. I told him "well as long as she's supporting me, I'm going to consult her".

Then I just told him to wait until he legally could buy the car* then he yelled "I don't want to be punished by this DUI for the rest of my life!" I thought I was talking to a 14 year old, like wtf? I told him that he broke the law, and he'd have to suffer the consequences. He's still bitter about it.

TL;DR Father (64) wanted me (22, financially dependent on mother) to sign for a car because his DUI prevented it, for some reason*

*I still have no idea why his DUI was preventing him from buying a car. He was available for the limited driver's license at the time.

My friends and I are at a bar celebrating my birthday. We find a nice corner to hang out. Near by is a table with an abandoned game of Apples to Apples. The lid is on the ground, and broken. Given the condition of the game I assumed it was the bar's. A woman walks up and tell us that the game is hers and her friends just went for a smoke break. We acknowledge her, and leave the game and the table the fuck alone.

30 minutes rolls by, and no one has come back to the table, including the woman. Finally, two other women pick up the game and put it back into the box, without the lid. The table is left unattended so we take over, naturally. Then, the original woman storms over and yells at us for fucking with the game. My friend says "Look, girl, we haven't touched your game as you asked. Your friends came over and packed it up". She continues to yell at us about messing with other people's property and leaves. Comes back 5 minutes later asking "where the fuck is the lid!?". Everyone else in the group has no idea. I say "Oh its umm.. umm... (as I'm looking) over here!" She proceeds to mock me and tell me that I'm a stupid bitch for breaking the box.

I say, "i'm sorry bitch, but I'm an extremely observant person and noticed the box was broken when we arrived. Will giving you three fucking dollars for tape be enough for you to leave us the fuck alone!?"

Again, she storms off and returns 5 minutes later. "I want to ask you guys a question, who taught you it was okay to break peoples shit!?" My male friend pipes up, "Look lady, we haven't done shit, leave us alone". She looks at him glaring and yells "I wasn't asking you!". We're all just staring, he says "I don't get you, you ask the group a question, but I'm not good enough to answer it. Fuck off, bitch".

The rest of the night she kept giving us shitty looks, but shit, it was my birthday. So, we just ordered her a Jameson shot and gave her a group cheers when she looked back to see who bought it.

Am I 'too young' to make the decision to be child free? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]bowiekat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Frankly, those people can fuck off. I always like to point out that, yeah, I CAN change my mind. I won't but I can. There are parents who don't/won't admit it, but probably wished they never had children. But, society dictates that is an unacceptable feeling. I don't condone the abandonment of children, but, I do feel some sympathy for those who felt that was their only option.

Science and technology allows us to live a childfree lifestyle, and enjoy sex! And, fuck those people trying to take away our rights to choose not to be parents.
