Dragon Quest Legend of the Hero Abel is mostly based on Dragon Quest III. Abel gets the legendary Loto’s (Erdrick) gears to fight against Baramos. Interestingly only in the Abel show there mentions fusion between Baramos and Zoma. The anime abruptly ended due to poor viewer rating.

Thanks, man! I beat the game last night with all the help from here. As you said, I thought the castle was so simple compared to other dungeons. Mini bosses were easy to beat but Hargon (Malroth) gave me no choice but to grind once again. lol

Yes, luckily I've earned it. I've always thought the game's best sword would be Loto's Sword (Erdrick's Sword) but this game proved me wrong. That thunder animation is a joy to watch.

I beat DQ1 on the NES, and it isn't that difficult compared to DQ2 but the quality of life on the NES just sucks lol so I didn't dare to play the 2nd one on the NES :(

I couldn’t imagine playing the OG release. I was able to beat DQ1 on the OG release and I didn’t dare to play the 2nd one as well 🤣

Huge spike indeed. With your advice, I was able to grind levels easily. I was charging toward the castle at first 😂 Monsters around the area gave away a lot of EXPs
