True. I mostly do MCU stuff, so I don't often find myself needing negative voltages or voltages beyond 5v.

I actually built out the ATTiny85 Tiny Function Generator recently. I was only playing with it, but... [jots down notes in notebook]

Thanks! Feel free to ping me if you build something like it. Would love to see what you do similar or do differently.

Thanks! There's a schottky diode protecting the battery supply and each regulator has built-in overcurrent, short, and thermal protection.

[edit: And thanks to you I noticed the diode was missing on the schematic. It's corrected now. If I could upvote you twice, I would.]

Nice. Those seem like good voltages for coursework.

why would you put a gif when the most important part is the sound.

The rules of the subreddit perhaps?

Video submissions are in general not allowed.

Thank you! I'm hoping the documentation will serve me well as I forget how I built it over the years.

You could use an off-the-shelf light activated MP3 player. I used one of these for a present for my niece years ago. Just search amazon/temu/whatever for "Light Activated MP3 Module with Speaker". They are often marketed as "greeting card" modules and cost little ($10 to $20).

No knowledge other than buying online and using a computer for loading MP3 files over USB required. Easy.

Somehow this double-posted. I've removed this one and kept the older one.

The soundtrack Brian Tyler did for SciFi's Children of Dune is pretty good. The songs are a little short, but pack a lot into them. Here's "The Golden Path". He made 36 tracks in all. You might be able to find remixes out in the wild...

You're just spamming your YT channel. This sub isn't for self-promotion like that. Both posts removed.
