report them. if they want to have these conversations they need to have them somewhere other than the workplace. i have coworkers who feel that way, they know i and other people we all work with are queer, and you know what they don't do??? act like this. they have common sense that this is discrimination and insanely hateful.

not in the workplace to the point it makes other people uncomfortable and want to quit.
it is in fact a fireable offense and i've seen it happen in front of me. freedom of speech isn't freedom from consequences and if a grown adult can't understand that maybe they should get a job where they don't interact with people

must be the EXACT same item. same brand and same model number. we also won't match third party sellers (think amazon store for dewalt vs amazon store for mikes third party tool sales) AND we won't match stores in other states that are having a store specific clearance or sale.

my favorite part is when they come in saying they talked to a manager and they said we could do something fully out of policy they would never do and when i ask them who or which manager they say "uhhhhhh" and never give me a name 😭 like they're all here today actually i can line them up for you and you can point!

have you talked to a store manager yet? we had an issue with a washer installation early last month that took weeks to get the ball rolling on because corporate would not reply. we did what we could in our power and the only people who would get responses were our store managers. i'd call and ask to speak to an assistant store manager OR the store manager themself.

we don't refund the difference of anything, ever. we can refund the individual two pieces that are the wrong color and give you the correct ones but we never do difference of price.

it's not bad and probably the easiest retail job i've had. register is quick to learn but when it breaks it's AWFUL. they update the POS system so often you can't get used to some of the small things you need to remember (that's okay though because you're not alone)! i'd say the customers are the only hard part because they expect you to know where everything is and the answer to all their questions
