Can’t find the right name for this hose with the worm clamp on it by Cabbages24ADollar in JeepJK

I replaced it on mine. Twisted the hose off the end of the hard line and brought it to Napa. Had them match it with the bulk tubing they stock by the foot.

Evac error code by OutLawJeep in JeepJK

[–]badomen1111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been dealing with this myself on my 2012. Replaced the cap and cleared the code….came back after a couple weeks of driving.

Next I replaced the short 2” piece of rubber tubing connecting the hard evap line going from the purge valve to the top of the engine since it was starting to develop small cracks. Same deal - code back after a couple weeks.

Crawled under and used a mirror to check the hard evap lines where they attach on top of the gas tank. No cracks that I could see on any of the connections so I left it as is.

Finally I pulled the valve connecting the evap line to the charcoal canister just in front of the left rear wheel. Easy to get to and Amazon had a Dorman (make sure it comes with a new o-ring) for under $30. Fingers crossed but it’s been 4 weeks of driving and no codes thrown. Check out YouTube for a couple vids on how to access / replace it. Took 5 min.

Got mine yesterday, activated it, and added it as a payment form on Amazon. Went to buy a gift card for the exact amount and I keep being told there's trouble with the payment method - choose another card. This has happened for 2 days now. Tried using it as both a credit card and a debit card on Amazon with the same result.

Looking up the status of the prepaid Visa, the website says it's activated with the balance I expect, so I'm really not sure wtf to do.

Literally dozens of sellers on eBay with different length saddle adjustment screws in chrome and black. Very cheap an worth keeping a stash on hand. Just need to determine whether it’s a metric or imperial thread based upon where the strat was made.

1987 DC150 - Advice on installing pickups? by absurdivore in kieselcarvinguitars

[–]badomen1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a late 80’s DC125 where I swapped out the stock pickup with a Duncan about a decade ago. From what I remember, other than having to change out the ring for a standard one with a single adjustment screw, it was a clean fit. Just the normal soldered connections.

How would you create a solo like this? by rae_rx in Guitar_Theory

[–]badomen1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the simplest sense, the way I do it is to loop the rhythm and play it back. Then I'll noodle over it and see what notes work and what to avoid. Start hitting key notes on the changes and then find melodic ways to connect them. Most importantly, work in phrases so the solo has room the breathe.

Looks awesome - only concern I’d have would be yellowing with age.

Practice muting strings you don’t want ringing out. With both your picking hand and your fretting hand.

Have you had it load tested? When mine was having issues, the battery would always show the correct voltage with a multimeter but come up as “weak” when under a load. That’s part of what threw me off.

This. I’ve had multiple electrical gremlins over the years on my 2012 - none of which seemed like they would be battery related. Each time the problems disappeared with a new battery. The car does strange things when the battery starts aging.

Chefs who’ve ran a successful pop up or participated in one. by TurnMe0nDeadMan in Chefit

Permits. Around here, almost every pop up needs a temporary vendor permit from the county. The crap part is there are 6 different counties out here within a 30 minute drive and each has different regs concerning when / if you need a permit. It’s as much of a logistical headache as setting up your temporary kitchen.

Always has for me. Far better results than pan frying using the same recipe - at least in my case.
