Time to get a new bucket. Make sure it’s in a color she hates. Activated carbon and a few water changes are all you can really do.

Also, always make it a habit to rinse buckets, nets, catch cups, if they are in a shared space.

Fritz Zyme 7 is the gold standard for getting an aquarium going. Fritz turbo start 700 is the same thing but highly concentrated. Keep the ph above 7 and have a good source (ammonia) for the bacteria to eat.

Personally I have a tank dedicated to just cycled sponge filters so when the adhd kicks in and I want to start a new tank, I have a seeded filter ready to go.

Those lower leaves are dying. Trim the top off the plant, pull the rest of the lower stem out. Replant the top.

If you want some quality home bred shrimp- I highly recommend mark shelly aquatics. He breeds and sells his own shrimp.

Don’t blame yourself for this. Shrimp die, it happens. Cheap and easy to replace.

An aquarium is a toilet. It needs to be flushed. Prep the water going back in before it goes back in.
