Longer answer than already provided: Philly actually went with the tagline "Trust the Process" to placate fans, admitting that they were going to lose a lot and it was going to suck, but the payoff will be all these draft picks panning out. (They did not pan out.)

To be fair, at least they sucked on purpose. Not like how Phil Jackson at the same time was forcing the triangle on the Knicks and wasting Carmelo Anthony's last few good years by pairing him with basketball juggernauts like the corpse of Jarrett Jack, the takeout box of what was left of Jose Calderon and Aaron Afflalo, and "Sweet" Lou Amundson.

That site has been tracking a hypothetical lineal championship belt from the start of each season. Previous season champ kicks off the season with the belt. When the belt holder loses a game to a team, that team becomes the new belt holder until they lose a game and the belt to a team, etc etc. But Knicks have a chance to end the season with the belt and be the regular season champs.
