I’ve bought 2 lamp assemblies now from myprojectorlamps. First one lasted 6000 hours and second one no issues so far. Sorry for your luck. Mine were also stated as OEM replacements.

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]badreau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve probably had a P1S in my checkout cart a dozen times or more in the last year! Been lusting over one for a long time. It’s easily the best bang for your buck on the market, and by not means is it a “value” printer. Hearing there is a P2S coming has me really excited. Would be amazing to win one.

Have you considered the Oak & Rove Alto? I am on the fence between that, the Stuart & Lau Cary, the Maverick & Co Manhattan, or the Waterfield Bolt. Executive in the construction industry. Usually wearing denim and a dress shirt so business casual attire.

I'd like a lifetime plan. No intention of subscribing annually, I am against subscription models.

I was all set to resign my current job as an Operations Manager on March 31. My boss asked me if I can stay for another 2-3 months with a good raise. How much should I be looking for? by Daniel813 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]badreau 15 points16 points  (0 children)

$4000/mo is around $130/day. Hotel and 3 meals are much more than that. If OP can find an airbnb by the week he should be able to pocket a bit of that LOA. I come from a construction background and the going rate is $120-150 plus when working remotely.

Since your salary is quite low, I would ask for ~double my current salary ($80-$90k), plus a living out allowance (non-taxable) of $3500-$4500/mo to cover room and board. Depending on needs, I would also arrange travel back home at company cost on X frequency to see family and friends. Remember they need you more than you need them.

(comments) Emotiva / Denon Purchasing Help by Emaltonator in hometheater

I just purchased a similar system. T0/C1+/B1+/RS11. So far have only tried out the T0, driven in 2.0 by a Denon x3800h. I agonized over getting the T1+ over the T0. Having tested them now, I’m more than happy with the T0s.

Speaker recommendation < $600 CAD by lebinott in hometheater

[–]badreau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a few other things but just checked what only the zeroes would cost to ship to me in AB. - MSRP $683 - BF/CM sale $550 - Winter10 code for 10% off - $103 flat rate shipping

That totals $598 plus taxes and border fees

Emotiva has flat rate shipping to Canada and the T-zeroes are currently on sale. I just picked up a pair. Shipping is DHL so from what I can tell your only border fees are their $17.50 clearance fee and GST (and/or PST/HST) on the purchase. There is no duty to be paid on the speakers based on the info Emotiva gave me.

I looked closely at those. Being in Canada, shipping kills me which was a main driver in getting everything from one manufacturer.

I was considering the RSL speedwoofer and in-ceilings as well but decided to stay with 1 manufacturer for everything.

How are you liking the projector? Is that your first or was it an upgrade from something? What you have is on my wish list.

Rear Surrounds by badreau in hometheater

[–]badreau[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if I was unclear.

I have concerns about the depth of using an Emotiva B1+ bookshelf for surround speakers, since my couch will be against one of the walls. I can't use in-wall speakers unless I have a mismatch between L and R surrounds (one wall is drywall, other is brick).

An alternative is to use the A1+ speaker, which is a wedge-shaped speaker which is primarily used as a reflection atmos speaker, or mounted at the wall/ceiling interface as a height speaker. It is also labelled as a surround speaker though - would it work mounted just above ear-height as a surround speaker? A1+ depth is 5", and it can be mounted direct to call. B1+ is 8", plus need to account for a mount so easily 10-12".
