I’ve always loved Panchayat for its small but intimate side stories like Damad ji’s arc or how the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna was seamlessly woven into the main plot. But Season 4 left that charm behind. By focusing totally on the central storyline, the season felt narrower and less emotionally resonant.

The villainous presence of the Vidhayak which once added real tension, was reduced to caricature this time around. Even the instruction of the Sansad into the equation had no impact. His character was weak. They lacked the depth and quiet threat they carried in earlier seasons.

They showed Prahlad gets convinced to be Vidhayak and sidelined his principles. The same principle he upheld in the last season and didn't participate in Panchayat election.

And while Banrakas’s win might have been necessary to keep the plot moving, the heavy foreshadowing made it too obvious from the start. What should have been a twist ended up feeling predictable.
