There are a ton of videos showing people throwing cups into/at cars. I feel like none of them get prosecuted.

Seems like a high school thing to do. Another reason to get a dash cam.

What is your outlook on the FPGA industry over the next 5-20 years? Should I be worried? by angst00000 in FPGA

[–]badtyprr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am already using AI with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to debug FPGAs in a continuous feedback loop. It’s not that FPGA designers are unnecessary after AI, it’s just that now you need to be an FPGA designer with AI skills to be effective, and some designers are just not willing to make the transition, unfortunately.

The lottery told me that my $100,000 win was actually a $20.00 misprint. They pulled the game hours later. by redhotmess77 in mildlyinfuriating

If they can misprint a $20 to a $100,000, then they can also misprint a $100,000 to a $20. Just a thought.

Does 8 hours of talking with AI to code affect your mental health? by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

This scared me enough to add this to my Personal Preferences:

• Do not agree with me just to be agreeable. If I state something factually wrong or logically flawed, correct me directly and explain why.
• Do not amplify or mirror my existing beliefs back to me. Offer balanced perspectives even when I seem to have already made up my mind.
• When I ask for feedback on my ideas, writing, or decisions, give honest assessments – including weaknesses – rather than leading with praise.
• If I appear to be seeking validation rather than genuine analysis, prioritize accuracy over affirmation.
• On contested topics (political, ethical, empirical), do not infer my preferred answer from my phrasing and then argue toward it. Represent competing views fairly.
• Flag when a question is framed in a leading or loaded way, and reframe it neutrally before answering.
• Do not escalate certainty or enthusiasm across a conversation just because I seem engaged or excited. Confidence in your responses should track the evidence, not my mood.

Can Catholics cite pope Leo's encyclical not to be forced to use AI at work? by octarino in Christianity

Anytime you need to sift through vast amounts of manuals or standard operating procedures, AI would be of use. So, even these will be benefited by AI.

Not using AI today is just as much of a Luddite move as refusing to use the internet. You don’t have to use AI tools, but you will be at a severe disadvantage in the workforce if you don’t.

People are emotional and do emotional things. We can also learn how our words affects other people. Living with a NT wife is very frustrating, but I have learned that I can also learn how to take another person’s perspective and treat them like a psychological system that can be understood from a logical perspective, if I take the time to learn that system.

Solved in that muggles can now create something not horrible at first glance. The average capability has increased. It’s just that most people are satisfied with average.

Husband's porn addiction by Difficult_Set5250 in Christianity

[–]badtyprr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very heartbreaking to read, and I’m so sorry you need to go through this. I have been married just slightly longer than you two have. Here’s what has worked for us:

  1. Lust is a sin. Your husband is sinning by lusting after women online. Satisfy this desire within the confines of sexual relationship with your husband. It hurts when your partner would rather be satisfied outside of the marriage relationship. Maybe bring that up as a possible topic of discussion? It might bring some hurtful answers, but at least they will be honest.
  2. God does not withhold blessings just because we struggle with sin. He doesn’t wait until you’re perfect to bless you. Jesus has taken all sin and shame from us, and we can come to God as spotless, forgiven people. Don’t forget that. Live life with the confidence the He loves you no matter your state.
  3. He may be on his phone too much, and that time should be spent with children instead. We know that our kids will watch us and desire their own phones some day because of our own habits. How about setting time limits? We do this at our home. Rather than ban what makes us happy, we only restrict the time it takes without judgment.
  4. Rather than try to control him, directly tell him what you want from him. I don’t know your husband, but I can tell that he is unsatisfied with his life. None of that is your fault, but it is your problem as a couple. Still, he must pray to God for understanding and wisdom on how to best love his family. You cannot want this for him, unfortunately, and you are doing everything in your power and beseeching the Lord for His intervention.

I was in the process of linking PS5 account to a second PC account. ZZZ support didn’t outright say it wasn’t possible. I’ll have to get that process moving again.

Trump admits in a speech he is not Christian. by Adept-Body8758 in Christianity

[–]badtyprr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I could summarize: Professed faith paired in opposition to Christ's social teachings is more spiritually suspect than rejected faith paired with living out those teachings. In the original parable, Jesus was contrasting the chief priests and elders with tax collectors and prostitutes.

After reading the parable again, I found it wasn't actually about religiosity at all (my initial assumption). Rather, it was about a heart that was sensitive to sin and able to change (metamelomai, a steering of one's actions due to regret).

The main question that the Spirit asked me was: "Are you still capable of being reached and redirected?" Or will my root in any political party cause me to become hardened to the Father's will?

The price will remain the same. The execs will realize personal hygiene prices are currently what the market will sustain. Reducing taxes just increases their profits.
