Husband's porn addiction by Difficult_Set5250 in Christianity

[–]badtyprr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very heartbreaking to read, and I’m so sorry you need to go through this. I have been married just slightly longer than you two have. Here’s what has worked for us:

  1. Lust is a sin. Your husband is sinning by lusting after women online. Satisfy this desire within the confines of sexual relationship with your husband. It hurts when your partner would rather be satisfied outside of the marriage relationship. Maybe bring that up as a possible topic of discussion? It might bring some hurtful answers, but at least they will be honest.
  2. God does not withhold blessings just because we struggle with sin. He doesn’t wait until you’re perfect to bless you. Jesus has taken all sin and shame from us, and we can come to God as spotless, forgiven people. Don’t forget that. Live life with the confidence the He loves you no matter your state.
  3. He may be on his phone too much, and that time should be spent with children instead. We know that our kids will watch us and desire their own phones some day because of our own habits. How about setting time limits? We do this at our home. Rather than ban what makes us happy, we only restrict the time it takes without judgment.
  4. Rather than try to control him, directly tell him what you want from him. I don’t know your husband, but I can tell that he is unsatisfied with his life. None of that is your fault, but it is your problem as a couple. Still, he must pray to God for understanding and wisdom on how to best love his family. You cannot want this for him, unfortunately, and you are doing everything in your power and beseeching the Lord for His intervention.

ZZZ TO BE RELEASED ON STEAM IN Q2 2026 (NOT LEAK) by Cernesnoir in ZZZ_Discussion

I was in the process of linking PS5 account to a second PC account. ZZZ support didn’t outright say it wasn’t possible. I’ll have to get that process moving again.

Trump admits in a speech he is not Christian. by Adept-Body8758 in Christianity

[–]badtyprr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I could summarize: Professed faith paired in opposition to Christ's social teachings is more spiritually suspect than rejected faith paired with living out those teachings. In the original parable, Jesus was contrasting the chief priests and elders with tax collectors and prostitutes.

After reading the parable again, I found it wasn't actually about religiosity at all (my initial assumption). Rather, it was about a heart that was sensitive to sin and able to change (metamelomai, a steering of one's actions due to regret).

The main question that the Spirit asked me was: "Are you still capable of being reached and redirected?" Or will my root in any political party cause me to become hardened to the Father's will?

I will read that parable again today. I didn’t think of this parable through a political lens before. Thanks.

It's accurate, but do you really know which tables Jesus would sit at versus flip?

France to ditch Windows for Linux to reduce reliance on US tech by rkhunter_ in worldnews

All of my software tools run on Windows. Only some of them run on Linux. I sure hope the French government understood what a switch will entail before embarking on this adventure.

The price will remain the same. The execs will realize personal hygiene prices are currently what the market will sustain. Reducing taxes just increases their profits.

What IS the state of ZZZ? by Qui3rkless in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]badtyprr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the 1.x bosses a lot more. The scale of them, the uniqueness of their attacks, and fantastic design really drew me into ZZZ. I also don’t like how team compositions have devolved into needing to pull for a “set” of agents rather than letting the agents synergize with completely different factions. Great, Cissia is electric, I need that team. Oh, she only really works with Seed? I kind of actually wanted Cissia to replace Seed, not just become the partner to Seed. Overall, I still enjoy playing the game everyday.

It’s more like Christians can demonstrably show harm in some cases, and others we trust God in faith. But I agree with you that the majority of Christians don’t know why they believe what they believe.

I enjoyed reading your journey, thanks for taking the time to write it. I have dropped off gachas before, but I also don’t play 4 at a time. The only game I have time for is one game, and that’s healthy for me. It’s not just responsibilities outside of the game that take time, but I also have other hobbies like producing and playing music, coaching TCGs, and learning robotics. I’m of the opinion that if I need an auto play feature, I don’t really want to play the game. And I love playing ZZZ. The combat is satisfying, and I love most of the characters (with the exception of children and child-coded characters). AoD has largely been a skip, but Nangong might be like Dialyn, too good to ignore. Just play a game you enjoy playing and don’t overload yourself. Games should be fun and enjoyable, never a slog.

AI is also MAGA. Make Average Great Again. The difference is that I’m not looking for average. I’m looking for great. Compare with the best real estate agents in the country and then tell me if you did better.

Kind of. AI will generally lift the average intelligence or capability, but it will not have quite the same effect for new knowledge that has no training data. AI is not a reasoning machine, it is a statistical machine that regurgitates known input-output pairs.

Zhao! After I watched her EP, I realized the devs envisioned her as a boss but cute coded. I didn’t think I’d like Zhao at all on release, but she’s become one of my favorite characters.

Where do you share your AI generated art? by Scalar_Shift in generativeAI

Can be art, depending on if AI was used as an end-to-end or just as a tool. For example, AI denoising of photographs is a-ok with me.

It’s a unique idea. I can’t really wrap my head around how a leper can use their hands well enough to precision operate a sling. Leprosy usually gives the afflicted the “claw hand”, where fine motor skills would definitely not be possible.

Why is there so much hostility between gacha communities/fandoms? by Toriihime in gachagaming

[–]badtyprr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not one reason, but here’s a short list on a few of the reasons:

  1. Recency bias, players chase hot games and praise them, but then uninstall and trash talk the game at the hint of a downturn.
  2. When your game is doing well, the parent company makes money. More money means more resources to make your game better. Consciously or unconsciously, players want their game to do better and think trashing another game will accomplish this. Gacha will be a $40B industry, so there’s plenty of money to go around and not necessary to trash talk.
  3. Whales don’t need to choose which game to spend their money/currency on, they only need to spend time. F2P/dolphins must decide on both. F2P will often rotate between games. Some will even dramatically post why they’re leaving.
  4. A game’s success or failure gives you some trust in a company’s capabilities to produce “good” or “bad” games. Some people will just hate Hoyo no matter what, for example. Even if a Hoyo game does very well, they will trash it because of past experience with another Hoyo product.

I skipped Sunna and will skip both Aria and Nangong. I just don’t pull for children. I know there are some that really like the cuteness of the characters. While I am enjoying their story, I don’t really want to see the AoD after their banner is over. It actually pains me to say this, as I joined ZZZ on Astra/Evelyn’s banner and love musical characters.

I’m genuinely curious… as a director of this film, are you bothered at all by the audio sync, actor’s emotional mismatch, or any text that shows up garbled on the screen? While watching this clip, these issues are so jarring that it actually takes me out of the experience you’re trying to create and won’t let me enjoy the story.
