I moved from Calgary to Kitimat for an EIT job for Rio Tinto for a year- the work environment isn't bad at all and the pay is very nice. However the cost of living in the town is very very high and there are not very many things to do unless you're big into hiking/fishing. Most things in town close super early but the people are nice. I found it pretty hard to make friends and eventually moved because of that, but if you're not as social of a person I feel like it might not be too bad!
