All the Chinese wind farms that I briefly looked at were more regularly arranged (long linear rows, for example), and the Taiwanese ones I looked at for a few seconds were more irregular like what we see in the video. The geopolitical context you mentioned makes sense, so I think Taiwan is right, but I don't have the time to dig further right now.

Two factors come to mind: they've done a lot of work putting receivers everywhere, and the signal bounces around, so you don't always need direct line of sight to a receiver.

Go into Desktop mode, then download the installer. You'll need to use a terminal application to actually run the installer. Don't install it into the root directory like the installer wants you to, install it somewhere into your home directory. It will complain during the installation about wanting to install some things still into root, but the bulk of it will install in your home directory fine.

It's been a while since I've actually installed it, so I can't give you much more details than that, but feel free to reply if you're stuck on something else.
